Yuri Video Games List

Here’s how this particular list will work:
  1. It will be similar to the Yuri Anime List in the sense that the game titles highlighted in “blue” are ones I have reviewed. “Red” titles will either lead to their VNDB, Wikipedia, main page or shop pages.
  2. The Visual/Kinetic Novels will be divided between games that came out in the West and in Japan or in rare cases other Asian countries.
  3. There will be a section featuring other video games with noteworthy yuri content.
  4. Some of the games are not 100% yuri, which is why some of them will include a note informing readers of what to expect besides yuri or just in case there is a catch with the game, such as Love Ribbon and The Menagerie. My reasoning that it is only fair to post titles that still feature yuri routes despite not being 100% yuri, just like the anime and manga lists.
  5. This list will mainly focus on games that were fully translated (patched) to English (and maybe Spanish), ones that were localized/released and ones that will be localized/released.
  6. Titles with (NSFW) in front of them indicate that the game features uncensored sexual content in its initial release or after a later patch.
  7. The games featured on the list are noteworthy ones. Should there be other titles readers feel are also worth including feel free to mention them in the comments.

Special thanks to Lena K for the idea and inadvertently helping me spruce up this list a bit.

  2. Just thought after looking through the list, both “thanks for confirming for me that Fate/Extella actually has a female master route/campaign as well” (since promotional material once again utterly fails to mention/confirm such), and that maybe you could also include Fate/Extra in the same part/section/mention? Being that it was also released in the West translated into English (for the PSP), and has similar Yuri moments to Extella when picking either Caster or Saber as servants (haven’t played Extella yet, but considering many of the servants are the same, I can assume such may be the case). In the same section may be good, as Extella is a sort-of sequel to Extra (set in the same universe, Extella essentially has Extra’s events as backstory, though slightly changed from how the events appear in Extra).

Sadly, Fate/Extra CCC (sequel(ish)/alternate route to Fate/Extra) doesn’t probably qualify, as that one was never brought to the West/translated, even though it would also have a decent amount of Yuri content when choosing a female master and either Caster or Saber again (also some Yuri with just female master even choosing a male servant due to certain other characters who appear in the story who have…feelings for the main character).

    • Most of the reason why Fate/Extra CCC was never localized//translated/brought to the West was likely because Fate/Extra didn’t do all that well in the West upon release (I guess some people just don’t understand good games…even if, being a JRPG, it does involve a hefty amount of grinding the same mobs over and over again)…although part may also have been that Extra CCC features some rather…interesting…designs for certain characters and their special moves…ones that may have faced some pretty heavy censorship if it had been released in the West.

      • cirno9fan says:

I heard it did really well actually. And it topped the charts in the PS store for a good amount of weeks. My guess is 1. The PSP was dying. 2. Nasu is a nightmare to translate. 3. It is CRAZY sexual, and with characters that don’t appear to be adults at times.

  3. yukkaonna says:

OG, about The Menagerie – futa don’t a yuri. Absolutely. Or i don’t know something about this game?

    • OG-Man says:

Depends on how tolerant the person is.

      • yukkaonna says:

I think, it’s not about tolerance. It’s a two different genre, no? I don’t mind if someone love futa and i don’t care about this games (i just avoid them), but it’s really two different genres and call futa = yuri is somehow… really wrong. Anyway, it’s your decision and I just feel like i need to say this.

      • OG-Man says:

I already discussed futanari before in a Yuri Talk segment. It really does come down to tolerance/acceptance of women born with penises having sex with other women.

      • yukkaonna says:

Mmm, well, i accept them. I’m very tolerance. But still, we talk about genres, not about tolerance. And this is wrong when tolerance uses only for tolerance. Anyway i miss your discussion, so, just nevermind me. We have our points and we know about them. That’s more than enough. I respect your opinion, even if i do not agree. Sorry for starting this.

      • OG-Man says:

No worries. Not everyone accepts futanari as yuri.

    • Sylvia das Rosas says:

Futanari isn’t yuri, period. Futas are hermaphrodite, that goes against the very definition of Yuri

  7. Anon says:

what about BG 2 EE ? there are Vampire lesbian for female character.

    • OG-Man says:

Sorry about my bland reply. BG 2 FE falls under the Bioware games, meaning people who look up those games can expect yuri routes in most of them.

Could you add Subarashiki Hibi (Wonderful everyday)? It’s a great VN, and the first route is (spoiler) completely yuri (but the others aren’t).

    • OG-Man says:

      Ah yes. That’s fine.

      • Mero says:

And if someone hesitates to play it,just do it, it’s awesome and very deep.
It deals with Wittgestein, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Night on the Galactic Railroad amongst other things.
It’s also very disturbing (and NSFW).

  11. Joey says:

I’ve recently started replaying Star Ocean 3 and 4. Besides the main characters being annoying, both games are good. SO3 brought back some good memories such as playing hacky sack with Freya.
I missed it before when I first played SO3 but there’s definitely something between Nel and Claire and it’s not just the sisterly bond. I’m currently rerunning it in universe mode. I’ll try to dig up more detail
SO4 has the elf babe Muyria who is definitely bisexual. Still playing SO4 so can’t be 100% sure on what happens to Muyria.
I’ll be turning to SO5 after I beat 4. Just gonna do a single play through. SO4 is not as as good as SO3 imo. I’ll be sure to hit you up if I find any yuri goodness in SO5.
Until than I eagerly await the Tales of Vesperia remake.

    Liked by 1 person

    • OG-Man says:

I played through SO3 and am aware of the Nel X Claire ship. Not much came of it.

I also own SO4 but haven’t got the chance to get far into it yet.

      • Joey says:

True. It was very slight. The Nel x Claire ship is actually looking pretty dim unfortunately now that I’ve started Star Ocean 5. It’s still a hunch, but it’s not looking good. The story writer’s for the star ocean series are harem oriented.
As for SO4… It’s minor, very minor, teasing. Nothing worth while. On a side note for SO4… my opinion… it started good then it just kept getting worse. Good graphics though.
I have to apologize for the misleading post I added before getting all the details about the story. I just got excited about an old game. Won’t happen again.

      • OG-Man says:

That’s fine. I’ll judge SO4’s story for myself.

SO3 didn’t really feel like a het harem.

It’s quite alright. No worries. I too enjoyed SO3 quite a bit when I first played it. Tough game but still fun.

      • Joey says:

Didn’t know how to reply to your last comment, there wasn’t a reply link, but SO3 was a great battle system. It was a pain at first. I don’t want to throw a bunch of game jargon on your thread, but if your doing a replay and want some tips. Email me.

      • OG-Man says:

No worries. I can handle it. Thanks though.

  12. Joey says:

I promised a report on star ocean 5 and I’m sorry to say there was no yuri moments, except for a certain someone who is constantly watching yaoi and yuri moments. No spoiler, best Star Ocean dialogue. The characters are awesome. The only “Star Ocean” that the main character was cool. In my opinion of coarse.

Just got done play valkyrie chronicles 4. There is a relationship but it’s super small and not really focused on even if it involves one of the main characters.
Don’t want to give any spoilers away just in case anyone wants to play it.
Just like most Japanese rpgs the story is way out there and over sentimental, but I still play em for some reason.
