the other mode in yukkuri ? you mean the stripping game ?
well, i nvr use the installation exe provided in games. they are “débile”. I played Yukkuri in win 7, home edition, 64bit, french loca, and it works w/o any prb. When u download the game, just open the exe in each folder to play. (Escalation Adventure is ADV, and Panic is the stripping game).

Good grief. I’ve tried Japan non unicode, I’ve tried Applocale, I’ve tried changing the PC text to Japanese and still nothing. Eventually I copy/pasted the shortcut included in the bin file and that surprisingly worked. However, the 1.10 patch won’t install even with Applocale. I’m stuck again.
I want to install the game properly without having to copy/paste the application. That way I know that I can install the patch as well.
I’ll await your response. Sorry it took me so long to reply.

Never mind. The problem was that the “copy” I had was an incomplete one, thus why I had failed installation attempts. All I had to do was find another DL link (Which I did) and it installed successfully afterward, patch and all. Thanks a lot for the help Choco.

Well I’m also an RKS fan and eagerly anticipating Freudenstachel’s official release. I only posted one RKS news bulletin, about the planned English Dub but nothing else. I’ll wait till either the Dub or Freudenstachel are finished.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated my profile. A few changes have been made. I also made a yuri manga list that I will post here to replace the outdated one. I like reading yuri manga and ONLY yuri manga. I honestly don’t read any other genre of manga. My Balls is the only non-yuri manga I’ve read.
I dislike Twitter and anything similar to it. The reason being that I fail to see the big picture as to why it’s useful in life. Sure, I could greatly increase my number of visits and subscribers with it but I just don’t like it. I hardly ever use Facebook either.
I recently switched from English Teacher to Social Worker because being a teacher is VERY difficult. I like a challenge but not when I’m not enjoying the challenge.
Oh, and I’m 25 now.

I sadly understand where you are coming from… There are times you feel honestly helpless and on top you’ve got a lot of stress as a teacher. Good for you that you found sth else. I hope that I might be able to find what I want to do in life soon.
That’s a pretty strict rule- only yuri. There are some great non-yuri manga out there that can provide the same warmth as yuri, for example Natsu no Zenjitsu ❤
Some years ago I was pretty much anti-facebook and anti-twitter, but it's really how you use them. Things change, needs change and so attitudes change, too. For me who hasn't many friends living at the same place as me, it's a great way to connect and keep up. They are tools which you can use for getting news as well. Also, I must tell you that my views didn't increase through fb or twitter much rather than through animenano and by having my posts hosted to other blogs occasionally. I don't say you should change your mind, I'm just trying to give an answer to what do they offer.

I had the patience, but lacked the attitude to maintain the pupils’ attention and certain required skills. Oh well, it was a learning experience and I don’t regret my decision of entering the course and left after realizing it was not my calling. Hopefully Social Work will work out better.
I know there are really good manga out there, it’s just that yuri takes priority during my manga reading for the time being.
I use messenger and Skype when communicating with friends abroad. Thanks for the advice on Twitter Miss Foxy.
I also use the animenano and other blog posting technique to get more viewers. Hmm, I thought both FB and Twitter were surefire ways of getting even more viewers.

Hello there OG, ever since I saw you yuri anime list (which had made me really happy with all the anime listed, yuri or even just subtle subtext, I take everything that has yuri, well there’s a few exception but yeah) I’ve been reading your episodic reviews for a while now and I gotta say, they’re great. Anyways just a silent reader passing by to say hello, hope you continue to do more yuri stuff in the future.
Oh just a quick recommendation, since you also like video games and of course, yuri. I played this rpg called “Embric of Wulfhammer’s Castle” it’s made by Saint Bomber, it’s kinda like a visual novel, but with a pokemon-style of gameplay. It’s about a duchess from Elstwhere who comes to the titular character’s castle to marry him, however he was away at the time and didn’t really come back until the very last true ending of the game (which is one of the best ending by the way). When the duchess reaches the castle she meets a lot of people, who’re all mostly composed of girls, you can interact to them, as the duchess (who is also my favorite character by the way, she’s hilarious) and unravel the stories around them, and gain their respective endings. There’s a lot of ending by the way, sad, romantic, melancholic, happy or just plain silly. Oh and there’s even a harem ending! It’s full of yuri, and I freaking love this game.
Oh damn, this got really long, sorry for that. But I just had to spread the game, and I would be happy if you liked it as much as I did too (andevenmakeareviewforit). I have a slight feeling you will, but I could be wrong, who knows.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I find it really disturbing that a man runs a website dedicated to yuri anime. Something about that just irks me. It fits right into the stereotype that men sexualize lesbians for their own personal gain. Do you have any actual lesbians who co-own the website with you? Don’t get me wrong, it just makes me a bit uncomfortable to hear opinions about yuri anime from a grown man who really shouldn’t have any say in the matter – given the fact that two females in love really has nothing to do with you. Again – sorry if this offends you.

There are plenty of other yuri sites out there run by women you can visit to see what they have to say about the genre. I’m not going to stop promoting yuri in a positive light because you find it abnormal that someone of the opposite gender is doing it.

I don’t find it abnormal that a boy likes yuri (the straight boy likes to see two girls kiss? who would’ve guessed) But that isn’t what I meant at all. This isn’t about me being calling out a boy who is into “girly things.” I’m not attacking you for that reason at all. Defy gender norms all you want, I’ll even cheer you on. The fact of the matter is, this isn’t defying gender norms, this is playing directly into them. I’m actually surprised no one else is bothered by this. This is exactly the same as some perverted old man getting off to lesbian porn and then chalking it up to his freedom of speech or something as stupid and completely irrelevant as that. Please don’t turn this into some “woe is me, stupid feminazi is attacking me for liking yuri boohoo. Misandry!!!” issue. It’s not that. I, and probably every other actual female that finds this website, would just feel more comfortable if you were an actual female who could relate to the genre, rather than some pervy straight boy who thinks its hot when 2 anime girls kiss. The fact of the matter is, it’s creepy and oh so very typical. I apologize if you took my comment the wrong way.

Question for the Yuri guru… Is there any Yuri out there were the best friend (who is clearly the most deserving of the protag’s love) actually gets her girl? I finally sat down to watch Strawberry Panic for the first time last weekend, and this so called “gateway” anime really ended up disappointing me. My expectations were high as most people I’ve heard from said they’re first excursion into yuri was this anime, and quoted it for a lot of yuri tropes and standards that are used today. But the pacing was all over the place, and the second half of the series was packed with so much melo-drama of the unnecessary variety, the kind that unfortunately fills these types of shows. Some events and misunderstandings had so many obvious flags pop up even my jaded ass could see them coming a mile away. I can certainly see the tropes, standards, and clichés other yuri have taken from this anime, unfortunately clichés are still clichés and to this day I’m still searching for a yuri that does the best friend justice. With every romance show I watch whether it be normal or yuri, I end up falling in love with certain characters but to this day, NONE of my pairings have stayed together by the end of a series. I don’t know what the Japanese have against friends with benefits, but in EVERY yuri I watch, the main character’s best friend is ALWAYS the best for them… but they NEVER seem to get together. Strawberry Panic had not 1, but 3 different supportive, beautiful, and loving girls who were all side-lined by their best friends in favor of relationships with stereotypical and cliché characters. Tamao-chan and Nagisa,
Shizuma and Rokujyo, and Hikari and Yaya-san were all perfect in their own way… but Tamao, Rokujyo, and Yaya were all firmly knee-capped into the friend zone in favor of much simpler and blander characters. Characters like Tamao and Rokujyo displayed beautiful, pure and loyal affection to their loved ones often in very subtle ways over the course of the series, which in my opinion, means a HELL of a lot more than just sharing a kiss on the lips every 10-12 episodes or so. Tamao is dropped by Nagisa in favor of the cliché mysterious ice queen Shizuma who is afraid to “love again”. Rokujyo I believe was madly in love with Shizuma, but she is never
given the time of day and resigns herself to the friend zone for the whole series. And Hikari and Yaya were god damn adorable together, but Hikari ends up hanging Yaya out to dry in favor of the unrealistically “perfect in every way” prince Amane… who is absolutely a man in every respect except for the vagina. The ending was 100% cheese and I saw it coming a mile away, even though the 2 episodes before it admittedly did give me a sliver of hope for Tamao x Nagisa. I can see this
anime’s “gateway”-like qualities, but many of it’s clichés and character tropes I wish other shows would simply throw away. Because sometimes, friends need some god damn loving too… Do you have any examples of decent-to-great yuri where the best friend actually gets her girl in the end?

First of all if you wanted to talk about Strawberry Panic you should have done so in my review of the show.
Second, yes a lot of yuri fans got into the genre after watching this show but keep in mind none of them said it was perfect, not even me.
Third, you’re not the first person to complain about the outcomes and certainly won’t be the last.
Now for anime, try Kashimashi first.

Sorry I thought this page would be a bit more pertinent considering the latter’s review date. I’ve heard of Kashimashi but never watched it, I’ll give it a try. Is that really the only good example you can give? If so I think some of my previous points stand quite well. Perhaps manga works have more logical routes?

If you’re looking for on-screen confessions between best friends stick to manga. If you’re okay with strong hints and moments where the only thing missing is an on-screen confession there are numerous titles I can mention.
Another one that you may like is Sakura Trick. You can also try Kanamemo.

Then I looked this up on google and found a rather…disturbing meaning for it. So I wanted to know if you’re using that slang in another meaning, or the original? If it’s the former, please elaborate, if it’s the latter…ew…

I find some adult women in media, real and fictional attractive. Most of the sexier ones in the anime I watch happen to be moms. If the term milf bothers some people I’ll stick to using hot mama.

Hi OG! Have you seen “Tenkuu Shinpan” (or “High-Rise Invasion”)? It’s a Netflix anime which has been recently released in a batch (all 12 eps). The two leading ladies are almost a canon couple. I highly recommend checking this out, but be warned that it contains a lot of (quite explicit) gore (heads severed, blood splatted everywhere, etc) and a hefty dose of fanservice.
