One of our heroines had a final obstacle to overcome before truly being ready for the big stage.
Best part of this scene were Ren’s reactions.
It would have been weird for Liella not to qualify.
Had to post this screen grab too because the exclamation marks are so conveniently placed.
Continuing with the Ren goodness she had three excellent moments in a row. I won’t show the last one even though it is the most “must see” but it’s so good viewers have to see it themselves. I knew as soon as Ren lightened up she’d be great but I never expected her to be goddess tier.
Back to the plot. The Headmistress called Liella to inform them of a request to perform at an elementary school. Specifically the one Kanon and Chisato graduated from. Kanon seemed to briefly hesitate before accepting while Chisato had a more serious expression. We’d soon find out why.
As we recall Kanon’s main obstacle was stage fright. We also remember it all began at a performance in elementary school. Kanon felt it. It looked like everything would be okay as the gang had her back. That was until the next day when the MC announced the next theme in the tournament. Performances had to include a solo. The others agreed Kanon was the only one who could do it. However, Chisato realized there’s another problem. Kanon could only sing when the team was with her. Keke wondered why that was an issue. Chisato explained that she could only sing when she wasn’t alone on stage. She still hadn’t fully got over her stage fright.
Hence Chisato’s plan was to to reorganize the elementary school performance where only Kanon would be on stage, including lying to her about having other matters to attend to. They knew it was wrong to lie to her but Chisato felt this was the only way to bring back the smile she loved so much. It was a risk worth taking. She believed in her Kanon. Naturally they weren’t so crazy as to not be nearby just in case.
Thanks to some last minute reassuring words from Chisato Kanon faced her past and found what she needed to take that very important step forward.
Kanon was ready and her wifey couldn’t be prouder.
Great stuff as always. Next time it’s the day before the moment of truth. That or the big performance will happen next episode and the aftermath is the season/series finale.
Another great episode! I just loved how much Chii-chan really cared for Kanon and helped her conquer her stage fright and her past! And now Kanon has nothing to be afraid of thanks to her waifu Chii-chan!
Also we got more funny moments especially from Ren, her reactions are just absolutely funny and is it me or is she following after Riko being highly curious about yuri lol yeah it wouldn’t be LL now without at least one character being a dork around yuri now.
Excited for next week but also sad too since it is the last episode but still I can’t wait!!!

They are made for each other.
Ren has been comedy gold since letting loose.
Yup. Love Live gays are either really into one of their teammates or go crazy for yuri but are afraid to admit it.
Because most seasons of Love Live are 13 episodes I don’t think this one will be different.

Yep, Kanon and Chii-chan were definitely ment for each other!!! Though I still love KeKa heck any ship in Liella is great just like their senpais before them, any LL ship is great!!!
Yes! LL always has had the girls of the groups totally head over heels for each other cause ofc they are!
Also yeah I am sure the finale won’t be any different from the others and ofc we will get a second season eventually!

Pretty straightforward ep this week with Kanon finally overcoming her past and singing on her own. Really liked the flashback moments with smol Kanon and especially the scene in the end when big Kanon and smol Kanon “meet” backstage before she goes out to sing.
Also Kanon’s song was wonderful and the lyrics were heartfelt.
Some nice Kanon and Chisato moments as well. Great to see them get some attention as it’s been a lot of Keke and Sumire in the past few eps.
Into the final few eps here! Excited to see how this will all end!

Character development doesn’t always have to be complicated to be effective as seen here with Kanon.
I get Keke and Sumire’s shtick is timeless but it’s much appreciated seeing Kanon and Chisato embrace their destiny.
Almost there. As usual it’ll be sad when we reach the end in a few episodes.

I’m pretty sure this is only set for 12 episodes, and next week is it until a season 2.
Really moving episode~
Was a very nice way to have Kanon finally and truly confront her stage fright. And clever of the writers to keep up the foreshadowing to this moment since the first episode. A lot of care and attention was put into this show (especially all those wonderful background moments)
Going to miss it when it’s over, but I’m positive it’ll be back for another season in the future.

Ren made Riko proud, yes.
Simple and very effective development this time. Chisato and Kanon getting to show off their eternal bond.
Depends how the season ends.

I knew the first time I saw Ren that she would be my favorite member, and she did not disappoint! She is Wonderful!
The rest of the episode was really sweet.
Excited for more.

Hola
Poco que agregar, salvo que los ships van tomando forma y que Sakurauchi Riko-chan bendice el camino del yuri que Ren quiere tomar y pensar que semanas atrás estaban pidiendo su destitución como kaichou.

That wasn’t the Headmistress’ laptop though.

That was, presumably an ad for the school idol website. And it was Kanon’s laptop iirc. She was in the clubroom, afterall

Ren has been quite the laugh riot ever since she joined Liella. The invitation to the “Forbidden Realm” was just too tempting for her to pass up. The guilt she was feeling over that was so precious. When you said that she might be goddess tier, would that put her on the same level as Dia in your eyes?
Kanon overcame her final trial and she regained the power that was lost to her ages ago. She’s now gonna be a greater force to be reckoned with and it’s all thanks to Chisato and her unwavering belief in Kanon and her potential. Without Chisato, none of this would have been possible.

An excellent question. Ren has shown great potential to become Goddess Tier…but make no mistake. Dia Kurosawa is not only the greatest school idol in the universe but of all space and time. She is “Dia Tier”.
They’re made for each other.

It’s good that Kanon finally conquered her anxiety issues. It was interesting to see the thing that caused it, but of course, she changed since she isn’t alone anymore. This can bode well for the next round.
Still, the scene with Ren is of course is priceless. I wonder what the Forbidden Realm is all about.
