This time Renge worked two jobs and made a new friend.
The tomatoes Renge and the gang planted in episode 2 had fully grown and she’s beyond hyped.
So much so she wanted to share the deliciousness of tomatoes with everyone, thus went on a Summer Christmas trip delivering tomatoes to all the good people of her town as Summer Santa Renge Claus.
I really want to ship Akane X Konomi. give me more to work with please.
On her journey she came across a lost girl. Luckily her tomatoes cheered her up. Renge guided her to the police station to help find her home. Turns out she was the daughter of a police officer. Renge was wary of the officer before that day but now she knew she had an ally within the force. She then visited her soul mate Candy Store (Yes. I’m sticking to the “Candy Store imprinted Renge” story).
Still in a policing mood she went to Candy Store’s again to buy handcuffs. It cost her all her allowance but it was worth it to her. Her first arrest was of course Candy Store.
As soon as that happened most of us knew where this was going. Couldn’t break them though or risk breaking her sweetie’s little heart.
The one person she hoped didn’t come to the store at that moment…did. Lucky for her she won in the end because her opponent was Natsumi.
To continue Range’s career choice of police officer she met up with her new friend from earlier, Shiori. Together they formed the Cosmos Detectives to take down Hikage and Natsumi from their crime last episode. It was an exciting battle with twists and turns.
Ever since helping her Shiori called Renge “Onee-chan”. She loved the sound of it so much she wanted to do her best to be a good example for Shiori. Cool and adorable.
Very nice Renge episode. Next time The Champ will hopefully get to shine again.

Yes, my long wait for Candy Store’s return was entirely worth it.
Shiori is so cute that LITERALLY every noise she makes can stop my heart, we finally found someone more precious than Renge.
Yea, Akane hanging out with Konomi looks a bit…….suspicious, there’s nothing left for Konomi to teach Akane so it’s not a matter of “mentorship” or any of that jazz. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

First Hotaru’s adult masquerade falls apart and now Renge becomes an onee-san. Where is the world going? ^^ If Shiori ends up being Renge’s sweetheart, she can expect to be lovingly carried around a lot.
It’s always heartwarming to see that cutie Akane with Konomi. Yay!
A shame they didn’t show the best parts, that is, Natsumi mounted and tickled while handcuffed, and Hikage getting soaked. Wait… Wet handcuffed Hikage, no, that was just my imagination. But delicious anyway ^^
Hoping for more Koma-chan and her devoted lover next time, as well as my unwavering hope that the adorable Aoi from Okinawa will eventually get to see her Natsumi again.

Please forgive me, but thanks to a certain post on (ahem) /a/ and me having finished up Breaking Bad this past weekend, I now can’t get the image of Candy Store as Walter White out of my head. (Maybe Suguru Koshigaya is Jesse…)

It took until S3 for them to break the sad ep 4 trend! Not that I minded it really….
Renge delivering the tomatoes to everyone was a fun adventure. Nice to meet another new character and see that there is a police officer in the area too.
Renge and Candy Store with the handcuffs was chaotic and hilarious.
And finally the Cosmos Detectives sequence was fun as well.
Almost caught up with this show!
