It is a year later but better late than never I talk about this delightful movie/Mega Third Season Appetizer.
Check out my reviews of the 1st and 2nd seasons HERE.
This one is a quickie because there is little to add that I have not already. The movie featured everything fans came to love about the series but on a grander stage in a close to 70 minute cinematic feature.
- Beautiful vistas
- Calm atmosphere
- Blissful moments of silence
- Adorable humor
- Adorable cast
- Lighthearted yuri
- etc.
All of it is present and accounted for in this movie as we join our heroines and one of the best male characters of all media on a trip to Okinawa they won in a lottery. The reaction to them winning was priceless. So yes it is more of the same but on a grander stage, which is exactly what fans hoped for.
Let us get to what everyone is here for:

I must have replayed this scene 20 times before I continued watching.
Yup. I still hold the belief that Candy Store (or whatever her actual nickname is) is patiently waiting for Renge to grow older.

Natsumi and Aoi.
I will not give anything away about the most important character introduced in the movie, Aoi. I will say two things:
- For the most part this is a Natsumi movie. The other girls get plenty of time to shine of course but Natsumi has the most character development.
- I hope Aoi makes a cameo appearance in the third season. Readers who saw the movie will know why.
Now for the most important development.

The Champ is back!
The movie gave viewers a small glimmer of hope that The Champ (Hotaru) would resume her noble quest in the third season. Viewers who saw NNB Repeat (S2) know her quest took a backseat. Yes we saw the origin of how she fell in love with Komari but there her pursuit of true happiness did not get as much recognition as it did in S1. Hopefully this is a sign of more blissful young love in the near future.
And there you have it. Readers who have yet to watch the movie and are NNB fans are recommended to check NNB Vacation out when able. Great stuff.
Very enjoyable, and was the best material to bring up hype for a possible third season
Was so very glad Hotaru and Komari’s antics weren’t downplayed
Really hope S3 (if it happens) makes up for those chapter skips in s2

Served its purpose of S3 hype.
She’s far from done! So glad.

Aww, this one was adorable. I’m so happy that Natsumi found a soulmate, and I’m always delighted for more Hotaru*Komari. Please, more hand holding! And then kissing! And then finding a soft haystack somewhere in that beautiful countryside ^^

I’m still struggling to find a steaming site where I can enjoy this movie without being bothered by bad translation (any suggestions?) but from what I’ve seen and heard, this is definitely what I need in these troubling times.
Knowing that Natsumi finally had a ̶g̶i̶r̶l̶ friend makes me feel like the contract is finally fulfilled. And we all know that deep down, Kaede(Candy Store) and Ren-chon is the cutest OTP in the show with Hotarun and Koma-chan coming a close second.

Dunno. I found one and stuck with it. Can’t remember which.

Oh nvm, I found a better translated version on Kickassanime and it’s one of the most chilled and cute things I’ve seen this season, especially Aoi and Natsumi.
It felt like Nac-chan was trying to hold back dearly to say “I love you” to Aoi but hey, she did say sth almost to the effect of that before parting and Ren-chon’s gift to her really reflected that. The Champ was consistently gay through out the experience, so gay and cute it hurts.

Adorable movie. That to be expected from Non non biyori. Natsumi finally gets a girlfriend. She was so heartbroken. Renge knows exactly how Natsumi feels because she’s been there. She made sure Natsumi say her good bye. Renge is so smart. I hope we can see Aoi in the 3rd season so they can play badminton together. And other things.

Yup. Poor Natsumi. Hopefully we’ll see Aoi again next season.
Renge is a wise little lass.
