Our heroines went mystery solving this time around.
In the first Fantasy Seitokai meeting they discussed the Foundation Day Fair, aka a school festival. We also met Lene’s brother who had a look about him that made me rub my chin. Something about his design. Anyway seitokai tradition had their event be a cafe. The group weren’t exactly keen on serving people until Dookie Prince suggested the guys and gals switch roles, crossdresser style. Misha agreed because Mayonnaise agreed but Claire hesitated until she pulled the Chilly Chodes in a dress card.
Again this character design. The “Hmmmm” is strong in me.
Rae sure loved spooking and scaring Claire. Can’t blame her because like with all her other reactions scared Claire is beautiful.
Lene Bro asked our heroines if they could investigate a rise in conflicts among the students. I doubt his upcoming request had anything to do with it but Claire jumped at the opportunity to be praised for saving the day. However, the moment he mentioned a spooky mystery our wonderful tsundere instantly flinched. Were it not to prove Rae wrong about being scared she might have walked away.
Rae’s bun and Claire’s kitsune ponytail. That is all.
Not much to say about the mystery. As always Claire’s reactions were excellent as was Rae being rewarded for it. Turns out the “ghost” was Rae secretly cooking at night. As for the “cold touch” students felt that was Ralaire practicing her human hand form on them.
Rae invited Claire to sleep over with her in the kitchen. She wanted to decline but the hallways were pitch black so she “accepted” ordering Rae not to do anything naughty. Rae and Ralaire were happy they got to have a sleepover with their future wife/mom.
Next was a bad dream/flashback. Claire’s parents were hardly around due to important work and our little heroine was obviously lonely. One day on her birthday she’d finally had enough and threw a tantrum, tired of her parents not being there, especially Mama Melia. Melia tried to cheer her up with a present but Claire only wanted them to be there. She said the classic “daikirai!” and stormed off.
We knew how this would end based on Claire’s reaction during magic training and anime tradition. The most painful part was her thinking about starving herself to join Mama in the afterlife. Rae knowing her backstory could only watch and comfort the sleeping maiden.
It didn’t hurt to reward herself for her good deed. The slap was worth it.
Lene goes gaga for Broski when Rae mentioned him. Yup.
Rae asked Lene to help prepare dishes for the cafe. Misha and Claire taste tested sandwiches are were blown away, especially by the mayonnaise. When Claire said it tasted similar to that of the renowned food company Broulet Lene wondered how she got the taste as close to matching theirs. Rae didn’t do a good job hiding the truth so it’s only a matter of time before Lene got her to reveal she’d sold various recipes to Broulet. The chocolate, mayonnaise and who knows how many other recipes. It was the classic “protagonist introduces a simple modern advancement to great effect” isekai trope. Lene wondered why she didn’t reveal herself as the benefactor and Rae said it’s all for Claire’s sake. Let’s keep that in mind.
Before the next scene Rae asked her to keep this a secret and said “Everyone has a secret or two to keep” as the camera slowly panned to Lene. Yup. We ended the episode with a wonderful taste tester Claire montage and an ominous tease. It’s almost time for the real super seriousness.
Good stuff as always. Next time prepare yourself ladies…No seriously prepare yourselves.
Ah yes. Forgot to add the #ClaireIsLove of the episode. Let’s say this time it’s for her clear jealousy of being left out and Rae hanging out with Lene.
Another Great Episode!
Lady Claire was so cute this episode! And so was Ralaire, as always!
Excited for more!

Prince rod just sounds like a fun guy to be around, he’s just like “yeah what would be fun? let’s crossdress for the cafe” and he’s so game about it haha
Rae knew that the “ghost” was really just herself, but she gets to stay with Claire, win win for her.
And she’s even made use of the “using my past life experience in this new world” trope by passing on recipes on that fancy restaurant.
Another classic trope with Claire having a bad fight with her mom, but unknowing to her it was to be the last time she would see her mom alive. Really sad.
The protests are definitely concerning – this might bubble into something bigger as the series progresses.

Another jelly episode. Again, Claire has nothing to worry about she already winning. The slap was worth it indeed. Also she was fully clothes imagine if she’s naked like Vill. That’s what happen when you forget about your child. I’m talking about Ralaire btw. The dead parents is nothing new but still hurt to watch her suffer. I too wondering about that food thing. I thought Rae was expressing her love through food but I think there’s something deeper.

Oh wow. This really looks to be getting serious. I haven’t read the source and know nothing, but please Rae, save your love from whatever is coming!

Such a FANTASTIC episode! I’ll just be shallow, for a moment and gush over Gym Clothes Claire and Hair Bun Rae. (seriously, she should keep her hair up like that, or try other up-dos. If I was Claire I wouldn’t be able to resist touching her neck.)We got to see surprised/scared Claire, and she was adorable!
I won’t go into why Rae’s so interested in disseminating recipes, since spoilers. But I can at least guess why Claire is so serious about being a noble. She was probably feeling guilty about being selfish and wanting her Mom to stay, despite her duties.
Hopefully Rae, and their daughter, can heal her heart. (it’s so cute that Claire is getting along better with their child!)

You’re free to gush over anime babes here. I do it all the time but you already know that.
That’s most likely why Claire aims to be a good ojou-sama.
Keep it up girls! Claire is slowly embracing her destiny.

Gotta give props to Rod, he sure knows how to put an interesting spin on a ordinary idea. The poor prez wasn’t ready for that, however 😉 .
Should have known that Rae was the ghost roaming the halls but it was a nice excuse for Rae to spend more time with Claire. Ralaire was quite the helper in spooking students the way it did.
Fascinating that Rae was secretly enhancing the flavour of that world. I would like to think that it’s important in some way because, between Claire’s tragic past, Rae and Lene’s discussion, especially the part about secrets and the uptick in student protests, things might be taking a serious turn. Hopefully Rae and especially Claire can weather the coming storm and not get swept away.
Claire was extra pouty today, to me. It was very cute seeing her reactions, especially when Ralaire was on her head mimicking her facial expressions. Shows how Claire’s used to it now.

Yes, the ghost arc is funny and it’s obvious that it’s Ralaire given that she wasn’t given back to Rae after the match. Also, it’s nice to see Rae scare Claire as always and see Claire taste her latest creation.
Still, that flashback with Claire’s childhood was pretty sad, but it can explain why she is close with Lene.
I wonder about why Rae’s recipes has to do with Claire, which should be interesting to find out very soon.

Absolutely. Claire deserves a hug and kiss from a certain loving protagonist.

This ep started fun but got sad pretty quick. I feel bad for Claire and her backstory. That’s a rough deal.
Lena sure likes her brother a lot…
Next ep is looking like a good one!
