The Magical Revolution Episode 7: Bazookas and the Press

Last time Anis found another lost soul, who of course was a sexy lady, and took her in. The problem was she forgot something very important.

As expected Euphie wasn’t pleased to see the girl who may or may not have conspired against her. Anis tried to ask Ilia for help but she’s like “You’re on your own kid”. Fortunately despite having an “I don’t know how to feel” opinion about Miss Bazooka’s dilemma she could see in her eyes she sincerely felt bad for what she inadvertently helped cause. Thus she welcomed the blessed cutie into her future beloved’s sanctuary.

Upon visiting Tilty she too admitted MB’s power was impressive. Had she not known about her magic beforehand she too may have fallen victim to her brainwashing. Anis and her agreed there was one explanation. Long story short Lainie was kind of a descendant of a legendary madman who researched the source of magic. He went as far as absorbing as much mana and magicite as possible turning into a monster. He wanted to create more beings like him regardless of whether they survived the experiment or not. Something like that anyway. Point was Miss Bazooka was part vampire. I was close when I said she had succubus magic. Tilty agreed to help MB learn to control her magic. The first step was to awaken it. The rest was up to the buxom one. As Anis and Tilty discussed their discovery Euphie had a particular look. Anis noticed but the one who took action was Tilty who lured her to the library.

Tilty could tell Euphie was jealous of her conversing with Anis about many things with no effort. Euphie was surprised by this revelation. Of all the times I used the “heart knows what the brain doesn’t” phrase this was an example where it was most accurate. Tilty asked Euphie what she thought her relationship was with Anis. Euphie said “I’m her assistant” but Tilty, as if to test her resolve, asked if she knew what that meant. Anis accomplished several things so far without much help from Euphie. There was also the fact Anis’ goal to become a magician would make many enemies of conservatives who branded her a heretic. Her last example regarded Prince Horny. Should he become king it’s almost certain he’d banish Anis out of spite. Would Euphie be willing to be by her side given all these obstacles? Does she truly believe in and support Anis?

The excellent scene that followed served to help assure Euphie that no matter how many hotties Anis surrounded herself with she’d always be #1. The second was to discuss Euphie’s dilemma without outright saying what the problem was. She didn’t find her answer yet but she knew she wanted to be by Anis’ side.

By the way. You want to sell Blu-Ray copies up the wazoo include a “biting” scene along with a “together in bed without sheets” scene. #Moneymaker.

As if to assure viewers who predictably thought Miss Bazooka would get in the way of our heroines’ romance she was like “I could never suck YOUR blood!” She too knew…

Back to the plot. Ilia delivered a letter with an annoyed look on her face. It’s from the elders. They wanted Anis to present a lecture on her plans with the dragon materials. The problem was they’re coots who valued tradition and were against Anis’ research because it went against the spirits’ blessings. Basically religion vs science in fantasy form.

Anis wasn’t looking forward to it at all because she knew it’s an excuse for the old coots to humiliate her on stage and have her materials taken away. As Euphie assessed the situation she knew what had to be done as Tilty had a “there it is” look on her face.

Since the MagiRevo Light Novel technically came out before Gundam Witch think of Euphie’s presentation as Miorine’s study material for when she did something similar for Suletta. They even got similar love struck reactions from their soul mates.
