Good news? It’s the Summer Camp episode. Bad news? It took place at the school. So it appeared we’d have to wait till the 2nd cour to be blessed, right?
Looks like Setsuna took notes from Yohane, Mari and Haachama on how to cook. Fortunately Kanata came prepared.
The big setup for this episode was Yu reflecting on what she wanted to accomplish as a supporter and for herself.
Meanwhile Ayumu looked forward to spending the rest of her life with Yu. More on this in a bit.
Everyone but Setsuna saw the Summer Camp as a chance to cut loose and have fun. Here we had the first years trying to prank Miss Ai. The important part was Shizuku relishing Kasukasu’s praise of her costume and acting talent.
While that was going on Ayumu couldn’t find Yu. We thought she’s in on the first years’ prank but she’s actually in the piano room. She thought about what more she could contribute to the group and herself when Setsuna heard her play the notes of the life changing song. Long conversation short Setsuna thanked Yu for restoring her idol power in Episode 3. Yu thanked Setsuna and everyone for changing her life. Every time she saw idols perform it was an experience like no other for her. Setsuna was surprised by how she saw idols performing and wanted to repay Yu by supporting her one day with her future endeavors.
As they left the room Setsuna slipped (Not on purpose Little V though I’m sure you’ll say she did) and…
So this is what it’s like for mainstream yuri fans going bananas for this kind of drama in other high profile yuri media. Not gonna lie, I went bananas myself.
The spooky 1st years tried again but as we can see the 3rd years weren’t newbies.
The girls all looked excellent in their nightwear and hair down but something more special awaited us after the jogging scene and more Yu reflecting.
Best swerve of the year BABEH!
Gotta be greedy and hope they will bless us again in the 2nd cour at the beach. Some of our favorite beauties were clearly holding back.
After the blessing Yu wasn’t done and stood up. Thank you very much Yu. In all seriousness she had an epiphany. Since joining the SIC she saw how much school idols changed young lesbians’ lives for the better. How many hearts of both longtime idol fans and newcomers were touched by their performances. So she’s like, “I want to gather as many school idols as possible and put on a big show for the ages. A “School Idol Festival”, if you will”. Anime universe SIF origin story confirmed!
Meanwhile Ayumu really needed advice from You (and maybe Kotori too) on how to deal with the painful feeling of being the “third wheel”. Fingers crossed something big is coming our way next time and I don’t mean the SIF. So pumped!

Oh, the dazzling amount of eye candy! Setsuna and Kasumi in their swimsuits, mmmm ^^
But poor Ayumu. I hope things resolve soon, she deserves to be Yu’s soulmate. I had also been waiting so eagerly to see how the two of them look with their hair down, and they’re so pretty…

Everyone looked great in their swim wear. Karin and Ai having the sexiest. And Rina Having the cutest!
Speaking of Best Girl Rina, she continues to be So Adorable! And very impressive “Mask” changing this episode! The Master at work!

The Mask’s expressions are excellent, yes. Like its inspiration it’s magical, always having the right expression ready for Rina.

What an amazing episode I wonder if Yu is going to write the songs when they form a single unit. Also Yu needs to be more observant I know she has an entire harem to look after but her main girl is feeling down. I guess this episode confirms they are in a different universe then the previous two anime? It doesn’t seem like there is a love live and there is no way this takes place before the other two.

Oh, is usual the leader girl had two girls orbiting around her, but the situation of You with Chika feeling jealous since a new girl appear in their relationship and she feel losing her special bond.
Actually Ayumu feeling seen more romantic than the other childhood friend in the same situation

Setsuna can keep trying, but she won’t be able get Yu from granny Ayumu. She’s best girl through, so she’ll have plenty of options.
Shizuku knows cute is the best way to cheer her girlfriend up, but Kasukasu took the grade hit too hard.
Hopefully Konata shares her secrets for non-toxic purple sludge with Setsuna.

Didn’t expect the swimsuits at all but it was a very welcome surprise! They all looked so cute!!!
Ayumu had a rough going this week, Yu and Setsuna seem to be getting closer and she’s starting to get left out. I wonder where this will go in the coming eps.
The first years trying to scare the third years was so funny. They totally didn’t see that coming at all.

Having the training camp at the school doesn’t seem so surprising ,seeing how grand it is.
Rina’s expressions when confronting Setsuna’s special stew were hilarious. Good thing Kanata was there to make it edible.
The first years have a long way to go in the fright games if they were outdone by the third years, who weren’t even trying to be scary.
After working up a sweat, it was time for some fun in the pool. Needless to say, they all look cute.
That’s quite the grand dream you got there, Yu. I wish you good fortune in your quest. As for Ayumu, I hope this misunderstanding she has is cleared up sooner rather than later.
