During the last episode Miko thought about buying ghost warding beads. We joined her in search of some while also going on a scheduled “date” with Hana.
Not much to say about Parts 1 and 2 other than the aforementioned date and beads buying plan though the wrestler distraction in Part 2 was excellent. It was more of our poker face training heroine doing her hardest to feign ignorance while being terrified inside.
Part 3 had the two on their date and Miko bought two pairs of beads. When asked by Hana she said it’s the latest trend. Hana wanted to be trendy too and planned on buying some too. Miko recalled the pervy ghost from last episode and gifted Hana a pair of the ones she bought. As a reward Hana wanted to treat her some “butt buns”, which were peach/booty shaped sweets. She knew a shortcut. Problem was it was through an alley…filled with ghosts.
At first the beads seemed to work as the ghosts stayed backed off from our heroines. That was until a big scary itchy ghost stepped forward. His darkness was so strong it broke the beads. Miko used all she had to walk through the ghost but got into a pinch going back to pick up Hana’s dropped bunny plushie.
Again the same screen shot because again all she did was stare. This time at an old fortuneteller. She looked like she wanted to pay for her services but lady wasn’t alone at that moment so she backed off.
The fortuneteller, aka Godmother, was a scam artist but when she saw Miko’s cursed vision was the real deal she took it more seriously. She even sensed Hana emitting a powerful aura. Though it attracted ghosts it also protected her from harm. The Godmother presented Miko with her strongest beads but the “itchy” ghost that continued to haunt Miko’s darkness grew even stronger and destroyed them too. Dunno if we’ll see Godmother again because it looked like she retired from fortune scamming. That or she returned home to hone her skills and return another time. Nah. Probably done.
Good stuff again.
