Super Cub Episode 10: Winter Cubs

Title says it all.

Winter hath cometh and Koguma relished preparing in time for some snow riding. She rode into Shii. Some peeps commented Koguma’s acted subtly harsh toward Shii before this episode. Keep in mind it took her a while to befriend Reiko. Plus Reiko was a Cub nut so the two could understand each other. Shii showed she’s afraid of scooters. Koguma didn’t respond well to people who didn’t speak “Cub”. Over time she learned more about Shii and came to respect her dedication and tenacity to her goals like introducing Italian themes to the family diner.

Koguma didn’t have many plans until Reiko called her with a surprise. Biker chains to make riding on snow easier.

Once the latest upgrades were installed Reiko led Koguma to an open field with a great view of Mt Fuji.

Cue a snow riding montage. The Cub Buddies had so much fun the cold didn’t matter.  Watching these cuties going all out was a thrill. I’m 33 1/2 and still dream of the day I can play in the snow.

Shii’s excitement to see KoguRei visit after their fun time in the snow was precious, as was her sadness in not getting to come along. Also notice in this scene the progression of her Italian conquest.

Reiko’s like “You want to come along with us next time? I know the perfect seat for you”. Readers who remember what Reiko said last time along with Shii’s reaction here know what she meant. Not only that but even Koguma considered the option. Poor Shii.

After a snowy night our heroines put on their gear tailor made for the cold. Their preparations paid off. Shii wasn’t at the diner that day because she was busy gathering stuff for her Italian conquest. Papa commented how the Cub Buddies motivated her to go cycling more often. It was subtle but I think hearing that made Koguma think about something. On her way to town she took a narrow mountain road especially made for bikes.

Oh no!

However, she didn’t make it back home that night as Koguma realized from her call for help. Will Koguma rescue Shii in time? Also notice Shii called Koguma first, not her parents.

Another great episode with a “chilly” cliffhanger. Let’s hope Shii will be okay and Koguma gets to her ASAP.

Tfw you live in a tropical country with no chance of snow, ever

That ending was quite a shock! Hang in there Shii, help is coming.

It’s nice that Reiko is having fun compared to becoming frustrated trying to climb the mountain with her bike. It’s too good, although they have some moments I can consider indirect kiss.

Still, I kind of had a bad feeling about Shii, especially when she is absent and din’t came back.

Poor Shii. I hope that her rescue is fast and that it results in a lifelong bond between the three.

That frolicking in the snow was so sexy. And the indirect kisses. I like where this is going. Super Cub deserves as many seasons as Yama no Susume or Yuru Camp ^^

  4. WOW! Super Cub takes a turn to the dark side! Didn’t think we would go there! If your phone is working, they can find you. Please don’t do this to little Shii 😭
They now have to put out a second season, just to show what all the happenings which happened in Season 1 play out in the relationships of the Biker Gang. It would be a crime to stop this story in just two more episodes.
