Did Himeno finally find the inspiration she’s looking for?
Touko may care for Mika but that doesn’t mean she won’t stop her when she goes overboard genki.
Himeno still couldn’t find her inspiration and somewhat envied how easily it came for Touko and Mika. While remembering mom’s incredible sculpture from last episode Mika brought her back to reality by wrongfully guessing what she made. She gave her the idea of thinking about what made her happiest and go from there. Himeno drew some examples but her drawings were, shall we say, avant garde.
Even Touko had difficulty deciphering what she drew. At least she gave her an idea. That being her drawings were family oriented, meaning to try and think of something that would bring joy to her family. Something like that.
Himeno got some energy but slipped again. Later at home she’s in a slump. Dad noticed and showed her a ceramic bat mom made for him. She enjoyed watching him train on his swings and made the lucky bat. Unfortunately a ceramic bat would break easily but dad appreciated the thoughts and feelings that went into making it. Like the broken pot he treasured the bat. His advice was to keep at it and she’d eventually find inspiration. Himeno was like “That’s what I’ve been doing all this time. Still, thanks for listening dad. It really helped.”
The next day Himeno felt bad over her hard melted sculptures. At least they made cute coasters for cups and even Mika’s figures. That’s when she remembered the hot pillow when she talked with dad. Himeno’s idea was a ceramic cushion, not to sleep but to sit on. Naoko thought she’d make tank wheels for dad.
Solid stuff. Next time is an episode I didn’t think the show would cover but am very glad it well. I know a dear friend who will also be elated.
