The third and final event of the Tri-Harsh was coming up but most of the episode focused on moments the night before.
Thank you modern anime reboots/sequels.
Let’s quickly run down the discussions and confrontations. As we saw last episode Johann told Eva she’s replaceable. To prove it he introduced her clone the next night. He was like “You better win, or else…”
Yana was still on edge when Yusil made a surprise visit. She’s all like “You’re gonna kill Lydia Gurtland, right? RIGHT!? You’re not gonna leave me behind again, hmmmm? I’ll be watching the race tomorrow so you better do it then.” Ever since Yana kept her distance from Lydia or pushed her away, afraid of what might happen.
Our main duo had a less tense moment compared to everyone else. Shelley didn’t feel she could beat Eva in her current condition. Her spare prosthetics were last minute and her body hadn’t fully recovered to go all out. Thus she asked Kanata to go for gold. Kanata wanted to do it to keep her promise with Eva and for the two of them. Kanata also had conversations with her imouto and Mr Detective. Imouto gave her moral support while Mr Detective rooted for her but stopped himself from warning her about Eva. He thought it best to not make her worry.
For such a smart woman it should have been obvious to Dr Paglia that trying to bargain with Johann was a bad idea after her investigation on Eva and him. Also pointing crucial evidence in front of him wasn’t wise either. She was kidnapped for not coming fully prepared.
The day of the final event had arrived and our heroines were worried about Dr Paglia being nowhere in sight. They continued with the race but it’s clear their heads weren’t in the game. Not even a mile into the course Yusil was like “You won’t shoot her, Yana? Fine. I’ll make you do it” as she caused a rock slide, blocking the course.
I have a feeling the next episode will be a big one and I’m looking forward to it.
