300 Years Killing Slimes Episode 5: The Elfxorcism

Halkara had some trouble that OP magic wasn’t enough to solve.

Exhausted Halkara

Halkara seemed to be out for long periods of time for several days. The family thought she’s about to move. They even threw her a surprise farewell party but she explained that wasn’t the reason for her lateness. Her factory had problems of the “spectral” kind. Her staff left due to an unsafe working environment so she’d to carry the workload by herself. She begged Azusa to help but she wasn’t good with ghosts either so she made a “call” to a certain chocolate vixen.

Beelzebub cold bath

I hoped Beelzebub would get summoned in midair and she’d fall on her sweet bootie but instead Azusa mispronounced a part of the summon spell and transported her to the bathtub with cold water. Remember this for later.

Beelzebub offers her hand to AzusaAzusa was too scared to enter the factory at night so she asked to hold Beelzebub’s hand. Activate tsun-gay! Poor Halkara had to beg for some Azusa hand-holding action.

Beelzebub captures Rosalie the ghost girlAzusa was right in asking the demon lord’s assistance as she used her “charms” to lure the ghost out of hiding. The ghost introduced herself as Rosalie. She believed her parents found a suitable person to marry but actually sold her off for money. She committed suicide. Before her passing she was a polite young lady but years of regrets and haunting the area Halkara’s factory was built turned her bitter. Beelzebub offered to help put her out of her misery but she wanted to continue existing despite being a ghost.

Rosalie about to possess HalkaraPer the rules of a haunting ghosts couldn’t leave the place they’re confined to. Fortunately Beelzebub had an idea, have Rosalie possess someone to leave the haunting ground. Naturally since Halkara was the pitiful comedy lesbian of the show she’s chosen. The next step was finding somewhere new for Rosalie to go. Feeling bad for the spooky cutie Azusa offered to adopt her. Rosalie was eternally grateful to her “Nee-san”. Everything seemed well until it came time for Rosalie to introduce herself to her new family. She couldn’t leave Halkara’s body. Not only that but were she to remain stuck in her body for a long time Halkara’s soul may perish.

Rosalie-Halkara's soul drainedCue a funny exorcism montage that left Rosalie questioning her afterlife choices.

Halkara expecting a magical bathEventually they figured out how to get Halkara’s soul back but there’s still the issue of releasing Rosalie from her body. Beelzebub took Halkara to the bathtub. Halkara hoped for a magical bath time but alas.

Rosalie freedAt least Rosalie was finally freed. Not only that but Azusa introduced her to the villagers to show she was a friendly ghost not named Casper.

Good stuff as always.

    The exorcism montage was hilarious.

Such a cute episode. And plenty of Halkara punishment. I hope Seeing the Azusa/Beelzebub progress warms my heart.

She’s cue, smart, very handy in a pinch, and she’s good with your kids. MARRY HER!

I hope they don’t sweeten Rosalie up too much. A delinquent ghost seems all kinds of fun.

Beelzebub is best girl no doubt but we know Azusa’s already found her destined suitor in Laika.

She’ll probably be another tsundere. More so than Beelzebub. Wait, Flatorte already fills that role. Cute delinquent then.

Definitely a nice episode. Yep, Halkara got the short end of the stick, especially what happened when she drank too much last time. Still, it’s funny how Azusa messed up the summoning spell.

Rosalie is cute, but definitely took on the delinquent personality after all those years. Still, it’s funny how drinking alcohol and throwing Halkara into a cold tub oof water did the trick.

Still, I wonder where Flatorte went off too.

    Halkera’s great as always!

Told ya your dream of Beelzebub being in every ep isn’t that hard to realize. She’s in A LOT of the light novel chapters.

The wait continues for Flatorte’s more stable introduction….

Halkara, so indiscriminately lesbian. But we forgive you.

I was hoping that Azusa would summon Beelzebub straight from a hot spring all naked. Both this manga and the Super Cub manga have some lovely nudity that I would so enjoy seeing animated ^^

It’s also so cute that Beelzebub is completely defenceless against Falfa and Shalsha’s charm.

It was a magical bath time… just not what Halkara was hoping for. Maybe next time.

I still mix up Falfa and Shalsha visually, but once they speak it’s obvious. The joys of being a light novel reader. 😛

Azusa for my #gaymom fix this season. 😀

      Ganbare Halkara!

Were they to have the exact same color scheme and face maybe but they’re easy to tell apart even when they don’t speak. That one moment where the animators pulled an 80’s goof didn’t fool me either.

They’re already rare in anime as is.

I’m repeatedly forgetting, and most of the my experience is with far fewer visuals.

On the plus side, we’re getting two seasons of them in a row this year. Moar plz.
