D4DJ Episode First Mix 12: DJ Parappa Rappa Hearts

An outta nowhere idea by Rinku this episode.

One morning Rinku called Muni to check out a rap battle and then wanted to rap at the Sunset Festival. None of the girls knew anything about rap music but Rei and Maho thought it’s interesting. They remembered how successful Rei stepping out of the box was so they figured “Why not”. Muni was the only uncertain one.

Maho invited Rei over to work on the music. Rinku wanted to come too while Muni sulked but Rinku convinced her to join them. Maho’s bedroom was cramped so Muni sulked her way downstairs where she was greeted by Maho’s siblings. They were nice so it didn’t take long for them to warm up to her. It helped that Rinku warped downstairs and Maho told them all about Happy Around beforehand.

Rinku didn’t forget her promise to exercise over at Muni’s so she did soon after. Muni continued to sulk all day. It looked like an important promise was made between the two but Rinku didn’t seem to remember. Muni tried calming herself but remembered the promise and got snuffy again.

Maho and Rei finished the music. Next were the lyrics. Maho and Rei agreed that since Rinku and Muni were childhood friends they should rap sing a duet. Both reacted as expected. Instead of practicing Maho told them to Freestyle the lyrics on the spot.

Rinku flopped while Muni shocked everyone with her mad skills. Naturally Rinku asked Muni to teach her.

At her place Muni got ready to cook special curry for Rinku when the dork got a call. For some reason Rinku and Towa’s conversation upset her. Afterward Rinku saw an angry Muni but didn’t know what’s wrong at all.

The next day neither could concentrate as Rinku felt terrible and Muni didn’t know how to apologize. Turns out it was Muni who had forgotten the promise hinted before. She promised to keep in touch with Rinku after she moved to Africa but at some point stopped sending messages to her. At the cafe Maho and Rei wondered how they could help them make up when the waitress overheard and suggested they duke it out verbally.

You all know where this is going.

I won’t go over the rap battle. Check it out yourselves. It’s no Zombieland Saga Episode 2 but no one was expecting that. Definitely worth a listen regardless. Pretty good stuff.
