Thought we’d be following Cream Anmitsu but nope. Only one of them, the only one who mattered, joined us this episode as Fruit Tart prepared for their second ever live show.
We began with a look at each Fruit Tart members’ fanbase:
- Ino’s loved by everyone
- Hemo’s an inspiration to youngsters
- Hayu’s a cool older sister and adorable granddaughter
- Nina’s got gunns
- Roko’s a plushie women want to take home
After another Ino peepee joke Miss Hoho slumped into the bathroom with everyone and sulked over how hopeless things seemed. See, they had to sell 1000 copies of their debut CD…TODAY! They had a good start selling half during the early hardcore fan rush hour but merch sales tend to slow down afterward.
The girls wondered what would be a great way to boost sales again as they gazed at Nina.
Now this is a “call and response” I can get behind. Hayu not so much.
Remember, two of Chiko’s favorite things are Fruit Tart as a whole and of course Roko so her wanting to br-, help them get fans engaged makes sense.
The president looks more like a kid in disguise than Roko daily.
Hayu’s both aroused and weirded out. So our heroines were on stage but had trouble engaging with the crowd. Ino did her best by being honest. She considered stripping but got back on track and thanks to Chiko’s help the crowd got behind Fruit Tart. As for the B-Side song we heard about last time…
The crowd tried getting into it at first but the lyrics made no sense. The president thought it was a brainwashing spell but thanks to Teno she saw the crowd dancing to the rhythm and having fun with Fruit Tart. That was good enough for her to secretly help our heroines sell enough copies to avoid foreclosure. Still don’t know what her master plan is but I remain intrigued.
After the ED, as promised Miss Hoho treated Fruit Tart to a big meal but as expected the restaurant was not fancy at all. There was one catch, if they got their idol clothes dirty they couldn’t afford washing. It was either eating carefully or Miss Hoho’s “Plan B”. What I liked was how Miss Hoho worded “Plan B” in the screen grab.
Ino and Hemo got to be the chefs of the buffet as Hayu looked on with envy. Better learn how to cook if you want to be in the spotlight with Ino next time. The rest of the episode was a feud over which town’s cooking was better. It was funny but not much worth delving into.
Afterward Fruit Tart thanked Tone for all her help. While she was deeply touched she randomly dropped a bombshell on them. Poor dears. Always at risk of losing it all.
Good stuff as always.
