Lots of running cuties this episode.
We joined our heroines celebrating Chino’s upcoming application to Cocoa and Chiya’s high school when a wild ABM appeared from outta nowhere as usual. Maybe besides Tippy she also took sneaking lessons from Randy Orton. Rin of course wasn’t far behind.
On to the plot of the first half, a marathon was coming up in Cocoa and Chiya’s school and Cocoa convinced Chiya to participate in order to make a great impression on her as excellent onee-chan and senpai. Rize went jogging to lose some “sweets fat” and spotted Chiya training too hard thus she took her under her wing.
Most of the first half was a tale of two stories:
Chiya training hard with Rize for the marathon.
Cocoa not being a morning person despite coming from a family of bakers.
This screenshot summed up how they did in the marathon. Oh don’t worry. They finished together. Not much else to add. It’s vintage GochiUsa awesomeness.
Yes. “Gonna Fly Now” played in my head during Chiya’s training.
On the the 2nd half. Cocoa and Chiya hung out when they spotted ABM. It was her day off but she didn’t know where to start. The girls decided to join her and asked what she would like to do most. She said relive her childhood by playing hide-and-seek.
Rin dropped by Rabbit House looking for ABM as always. She knew about her day off and said she’s playing hide-and-seek with her. Chino with the line of the episode “How is that different from what you do every day?”
More cute girls running around as the game went as well for Rin as fans of the show would expect. There were two jokes that bust my gut.
The foreshadowing and delivery were brilliant in both jokes. To the surprise of no one what made them work was Chiya’s delivery. She’s best girl after all.
The game ended at a Merry-(Bunny)-Go-Round.
Lovely. The following was more important however.
I’m grateful these two are intact and aren’t thrown around for the sake of hardcore shippers. Great stuff as always.
