Syaro gets the spotlight this episode. Technically her and Chiya but more so Syaro.
We began with what appeared to be a related series but a few may wonder if they’re watching the right anime. Yup. It’s Coffee Bunnies 3, not Milky Holmes 5.
The show within the show was called Phantom Thief Lapin. We’ll get back to it later. The first half began at Syaro’s place. She borrowed a Lapin Blu-Ray but had no TV.
Chiya sounded kinda hot when she briefly dropped her cute voice. Chiya was dressed as a ghost because Halloween was coming up and Ama Usa An dressed for the occasion. She wanted to hang out with Syaro but she appeared to not be in the mood.
They were visited by Maya and Megu who coerced them, mostly Syaro, to come along with them on a little adventure. The above moment came from Maya and Megu comparing both duos as friends with opposite personalities. Maya brought up hair length and then size difference. Readers can guess what the joke was. Suddenly the smol girls surprised the slightly big ones with a test of courage. It was all part of some master plan by a “mysterious” mastermind.
Poor Syaro felt the wrath of Rize’s water gun as Chiya conveniently dodged every shot, much to Rize’s sadness.
Cute and sad.
The spooky mastermind was revealed as Cocoa. She and the others joined forces to get Syaro to hang out with Chiya more as the latter felt lonely. The plan was successful and the childhood friends went back home all chummy and stuff.
Thank you.

I won’t go into much about the 2nd segment because there was only one moment that made my day. To sum it up the Phantom Thief Lapin crew came to film and promote the show at the Lapin Cafe. Since ABM based Lapin’s appearance on Syaro she tried to fill the role but the kids weren’t feeling her performance. Thus Cocoa had the idea to marathon Lapin episodes.
There was a very emotional scene and this was Syaro’s reaction.
Thank you Syaro.
No need to go over every joke and gag in the episode. Know it was another great one. Well, there is one running gag in the episode that also made my day.
Cocoa’s reactions each time Syaro complimented her. So good!
Sharo the self-confirmed lesbian (“I swear to treasure my own wife and children someday!”) ^^ Best scene out of a superb episode.
Is that wife going to be Chiya, you cutie Sharo?

She’s the most openly gay of the bunch, yes.

It’s nice to see some Sharo and Chiya bonding time, especially after Sharo upset her by not wanting to work at Ama Usa An. I guess this kinds of makes it up, especially with the funny and cute moments during their adventure.
Also, Phantom Thief Sharo is nice, but it’s funny how Cocoa manages to steal everyone’s attention.

A delightful Halloween episode for sure.
Because she’s Cocoa. She’s an expert at stealing the show. So much so that only her relatives can outshine her.

I wasn’t able to enjoy the first episode as much, but that was probably because I was under a lot of stress. I very much loved this episode though~
Syaro is so ❤
And the CocoaChiya continues!
LOVE the new ED too!

Another very cute ep this week, almost all taking place outside the cafe this time too.
Nice to see Sharo get the spotlight, she’s so cute and fun to watch. I mean all of the girls are really.
The stories about her house being haunted were funny, she really needs to cut down those vines and such out front. Gotta make her place more attractive looking and less rundown.
The test of courage scene was very funny, Chiya dodging the water was especially funny.
The second half was excellent too, lots more great Sharo moments to be had. I’m pretty sure they made a Phantom Thief figure at some point, just seems really familiar.
As always, looking forward to next week and the adventure the girls will have then. Man I love this show so much.

This could be a sign of things to come, meaning most of the show won’t take place in the cafes.
She got the spotlight and shone brightly as expected.
Poor dear. Her house could use a good cleaning.
I know a phantom thief but it’s from a different series.
It’s so good to have them back again.

How very nice of Cocoa to set up a situation where Sharo and Chiya could get some nice bonding time together! That being said however, Chiya/Sharo spending time with Maya/Megu would’ve been interesting.
After watching the Kaito Lapin DVDs, Kaito Sharo’s ready to steal everyone’s hearts! She has to defeat Kaito Cocoa to achieve that however, a very daunting task indeed.
Also Cocoa, ya gotta know that Sharo means well! She’s not out for your head or anything…or at least she wouldn’t be if you just stop(jokingly I think) questioning her intentions!

Exchange childhood friend notes with each other.
Cocoa’s on a whole different level.
Poor Syaro.

That “Future wife” line about slayed me.

Rize sits right next to Syaro/Sharo during the “future wife and children” line, so she will become her future waifu and mother of their children.
