I’m sure some fans wondered “Hey OG. Why aren’t you talking about Shamiko 2, Dragon Maid 2 or the Otherside Picnic Trailer?” all of that is hype worthy news without a doubt. Thing is they’re all set for 2021 so we’ll have to wait a bit to see them. Love Live! 3 though? FROM OUTTA NOWHERE, pulling a Nintendo, they shadow drop a trailer and Fall 2020 premiere date!
A few things I noticed in the trailer. First of all we got to hear Yu Takasaki, aka the invisible avatar in “Love Live! School Idol Festival All-Stars” speak for the first time. There may be potential of Yu becoming a yuri harem protagonist. That or follow Chika and Honoka by hooking up with Ayumu and Setsuna as seen in the poster.
Shioriko will be the “bitch” of the season like Eli and Kanan before her. She’ll most likely become the revolutionary 10th member in the 2nd cour of the show. I’ll be surprised if she joins this season.
The biggest surprise however, was Rina, or as I like to call her “The Mask”, UNMASKED ALREADY! Of course I’m not one of “THOSE” fans (“shivers”) but I was admittedly surprised. My dear sister and I figured The Mask’s mask is reserved for the public/on stage but the only person she shows her face to is Ai, aka her girlfriend. At least I hope they’re dating. They’re already together in the poster and there’s plenty of fanart of the two so fingers crossed that’s the case.
Anyway I’m PUMPED! As if Fall couldn’t get any more stacked than it already is we get this bombshell.

Considering the amount of fan art and doujins I’ve seen on Dynasty Scans, I’ve been ready for an anime for a while! Time to make a Love Live! trope bingo sheet….

Sudden Love Live! season? I’m in.
Just waiting to see lots of the Umi or Riko, or as I call her, “best girl” of the group. I’m something of a sucker for that type. 😛

Okay for real, how can one season be this stacked? This is insane the amount of great looking shows we’ll get in a few weeks time. My schedule is gonna be packed!
Honestly a little surprised we’d get Love Live in the Fall, seeing how late it’s been announced. I would’ve been fine with it airing in the winter season but if they’ve got it ready to go now then I’m all in. Looks like I’ve found my show to review next season.

I’m not gonna even start to think about ships yet. I’m just gonna watch it with a totally fresh outlook. Would probably have helped my viewing of sunshine a bit.
