While the episode was somber as expected it definitely wasn’t all moping.
When we last left our heroines they received a very disheartening letter. Although they did get a “yellow tower” ranking in the Orchestra, the district they were assigned only got 67% mana energy, meaning the stunt they pulled was for naught. At least the crowd loved the show. They were expelled the very next day. Harsh. PLUS the royal family sent some guards and a maid to pick her up, which shocked Tia. This was the first sign something wasn’t right. Rose stood up to the royal reps but Tia had them all stand down, voluntarily returning to the castle, as much as it pained her to leave.
Things were so bad for our heroines Lavie said made an intelligent remark. Poor dear was already labeled the “dumb one” of the group.
All their friends were worried, even Grumpy Yue.
With Tia gone our heroines went to the cafe Ratura worked at to discuss what happened. Lavie, Ashley and Lynette didn’t know Tia was a princess nor Eliza’s imouto. Rose explained it was so she could be like everyone else and avoid special treatment. Naturally the gang accepted her as their beloved friend long ago. They had nowhere to go but fortunately Lynette’s sweetheart Ratura got the “Okay” from the boss to let them crash at the cafe so long as they worked there.
Fun times were had courtesy of the new sexy waitresses the next day. After work the gang discussed what’s next. They couldn’t stay at the cafe forever. Rose planned on returning home in a few days. The others were sad but supported her decision.
Meanwhile Tia noticed the town of Leskarta under siege in the distance. Methinks LiGHTs will play a huge role in its salvation later on.
The gang was ready for another day but something was wrong with Ashley. Throughout the episode she tried to hide a toothache until the pain was too noticeable. The girls asked Angelica to help heal her but there was only one way to remove the pain…There’s a reason why one of Glenn Jacobs’ first gimmicks was “Isaac Yankem” before becoming “Kane”. Angelica and Lucifer provoked our heroines to take action. Rose was more determined to help Tia. She skipped the planned farewell party.
The remaining three got a visit from the twins and Melissa who encouraged them to take action too. Not exactly join Rose in her plan to rescue Tia but that’s what they agreed on.
Good stuff as usual. Next time LiGHTs storm the royal family castle “A Link to the Past” style!
