Looks like another season of me not having much to cover or discuss. As always this can change but for now here are my picks for anime I’ll be watching and most likely covering in Spring 2020.
MUST WATCH
Tamayomi
Tamayomi: Gay baseball players with majestic thighs. Ever since the awesomeness that was Taishou Yakyuu Musume I’ve been waiting for that next all-girl baseball anime to potentially surpass it. Princess Nine was a pretty good classic girl’s baseball show but not quite what I was looking for. Cinderella Nine went in the right direction but ultimately missed the mark. This is the fourth girl’s baseball show I will have seen and potentially the one I’ve been waiting a long time for.
Houkago Teibou Nisshi.
Houkago Teibou Nisshi: An actual Girl’s Club show about cute girls going fishing and not a deceptive one based on a mobile game about fighting sea creatures in outer space that wasn’t very good. I’m ready.
And that’s it for the Must Watch. Yup. These are the only two new shows I have a strong feeling I’ll enjoy this season. Vlad Love was moved to Fall 2020 so we’ll have to wait a while longer for that one.
Curiosities
Gal-gaku Hijiri Girls Square Gakuin
Gal-gaku Hijiri Girls Square Gakuin: On paper this should be a show right up my alley but I don’t know enough about it to determine if it is.
My Next Life as a Villainess.
My Next Life as a Villainess: This is either an otome or reverse-harem isekai. Hopefully the former because the former has more possibilities. In any case this is a show I have chosen a select few to investigate for me. If the chosen people give me the “okay” I’ll jump in.
Leftovers include Railgun Season 3 and Healin’ Good PreCure.
Shows I’ll watch on my own are Fruits Basket 2, Arte, ARGONAVIS BanG Dream and BNA.
The Yuri Empire 
Fishing Club and Lesbian Baseball are both on my list too.
Other shows include: SAO, Listeners, and Gal to Kyouryuu. Not a lot caught my attention this season, so maybe this is a chance to catch up on movies or start something on Netflix.

Not my kind of comedy. That simple. If you’re worried about het stuff or anything like that, no. Ships are all yuri. I personally can’t stand it despite the yuri.

It seems that initially there is not much to watch, but definitely watching Tamayomi of course and I may check out Houkago Teibou Nisshi. I guess the coronavirus kind of affected the Spring season. I guess it’s time to catch up on the shows I missed.

It makes me sad that Prichan subs are so behind. The show has gotten SO GOOD
And I’m sure S3 will be pretty fantastic. Seems the director and staff in general have gotten the hang of how to run the series, and thus are producing much more engaging stories.
My own list:
Kaguya Sama Season 2: I was not as absolutely invested in this as others who watched it were, but I didn’t dislike it, and the list of stuff I’m watching is already incredibly low as is.
Re Zero S2: Enjoyed Season 1, hopefully Season 2 is still enjoyable. People are saying best girl is getting more screentime, so that’s something to look forward to!
Gal gaku: Not sure I’ll even like it, but giving it a chance
Kiratto Prichan Season 3: Season 1 I was really mixed about, and Season 2 had a bit of a rough patch, but it got to be something really special once it got going, and I am really ready for Season 3 now~
houkago teibou nisshi: An anime about girls fishing. Seems fun
Tamayomi: Not confident this will be good, but I should find it enjoyable
JASHIN CHAN DROPKICK SEASON 2: This is the one I’m most excited for! I never expected to like season 1 as much as I did, and I am so very ready for more~ ❤
Villainess Routes lead to doom: I’m very very apphrehensive of this one. Sad we didn’t get the other otome isekai, but I guess that’d be asking for a miracle as it doesn’t seem nearly as popular by a mile and a half.

If/when it finishes and in the miracle that subs catch up, I highly recommend it (Season 3 could change that rec of course, but I think the team’s got a good pace going). But I also highly recommend Pripara still. And subs are actually finished with that one.

Gaysball: I’m in.
(Not Space) Fishing: Sounds more like what I wanted from Space Fishing, with less Space.
Villainess Leads to Doom: iddqd, idkfa, idspispopd. Wait, wrong Doom. I’ve seen some key panels that look interesting, and female led isekai are always better than the guy version.
Fruits Basket 2: Will watch. Needs more yuri.
Dropkick Dash: Not a priority, but worth watching.

I’ll watch what you’re covering, plus BanG Dream. Beside Popipa, I really love Rosalia’s gorgeous lolita costumes, and I like Chu-chu too.

The BanG Dream mentioned in this post is a boy band spinoff set in another city/universe. BanG Dream Season 3 is currently airing and almost done.

There isn’t a lot of shows to see this season just season continue shows. I will see the baseball one and this one called valdlove a girl meets vampire girl in a blood bank.

I found Divers to be a weak entry, but Re:Rise I found to be much more enjoyable, so I really recommend it. Of course watching it first before Divers means spoilers for that series.
(And of course the original Gundam Build Fighters is still highly recommended. Still my overall favorite of the Build series so far)

Tamayomi is a big yes from me. Jashin-chan 2 is also a yes, because it satisfies my sick sense of humor (totally get why others would dislike it.)
And in other news… damn, I made myself unnecessarily sad because for some reason I’ve been thinking Adachi to Shimamura was this Spring. Guess that’s coming in the Fall, then ;_;

Gal-Gaku sounds and the trailer(s) of Villainess look(s) also very good/funny.
Plus Konosuba movie with official BD release on March 25th.

Backlog season. Tamayomi and My Next Life as a Villainess are the only ones I for-sure want to watch, and I’ll probably wait for the inevitable dub on the latter anyhow.

Only 3 shows I’ll be watching this season.
Tamayomi the manga time series of the season is always a given.
Houkago Teibou Nisshi doga kobo + all female cast also always a given
Jashin-chan loved the first season and jam packed with yuri
Usually there are a couple non yuri shows I give a chance but this season is pretty sparse.
With all the announcements made in the past I have a feeling were going to have a stacked fall season but until then its slim pickings.

I’m quite happy with this – I love springtime and the less I spend my free time watching a screen, the better. Time to focus on work and being outside!

Tamayomi: I didn’t really enjoy Cinderella 9 (I still have to finish it but i’m not sure if I actually want to) but I will give this a try.
Houkago Teibou Nissh: looks mildly interesting
Gal-gaku Hijiri Girls Square Gakuin: the art style reminds me a lot of Precure but I have no idea what it is so I’ll give it a couple of episodes.
My Next Life as a Villainess: This looks really interesting even if it might not have any yuri in it.
Other than that Kaguya sama season 2 is probably my most anticipated anime (Kaguya x Ai never dies). I guess this will be a good time to catch up on everything from the second half of last year.

Tamayomi yep, definitely excited for that one. Houkago Teibou Nisshi, I just found out about that one and it’s on your “Must Watch” so I’m definitely looking forward to that one.
My Next Life as a Villainess, it’s definitely a harem. The MC is your typical dense character, not realising she’s had every character fall for her.
