The long awaited continuation of the climax of other boat girls anime is finally over. Let’s see how things escalated in the lead up to the big finale.
When we last Azur Lane long ago they were hit with a surprise attack by one Purifier Siren who stole the Dark Cube. Belfast and Enterprise got some good hits but she’s only there to invite them to the final stage. We would learn who they’d be facing soon enough.
Still got it.
When we last saw Akagi she got sunk but with the power of the accumulated Dark Cubes and the Orochi Siren she was seemingly revived.
It became clear to both Azur Lane and Red Axis that their enemy had always been one and the same. Whether they’d unite against it remained to be seen. For now Red Axis’ first objective was finding Kaga and give her a good spanking.
Back to Kaga she noticed something off about her Nee-Sama. When “Akagi” hugged her once more she was like “Wait a minute…My holy pillows don’t feel right…Show yourself impostor!”
It was Amagi…but not. It was Orochi taking the form of Amagi because Akagi wished to see her. She tortured Kaga with a huge bombshell. In short, the reason Akagi loved Kaga was because after Amagi sunk parts of her shell were used to reformat Kaga. She was like “Akagi loved you because she saw Amagi inside you. You weren’t even a suitable replacement girlfriend…” Kaga was so devastated by the reminder she lost the will to care. She claimed to fight for Akagi’s dream but really she stopped giving a damn. Back to Orochi, the camera moved toward Akagi’s right arm. Her soul was still there, barely.
Belfast: Are you certain milady? The Sirens have a keen interest in you. They may be preparing another trap.
Enterprise: I have to do this. I must face the ocean one more time and find the answers I seek.
Belfast: I had a feeling you would say that. I got your back babe.
Next time most likely the G-View, unless there’s a 13th episode, which I doubt. My body is ready for the finale. I skimmed over most of the battles but readers know what to expect by this point so no need to go over them.
