The end of the Cham Jam popularity rankings election was upon us. Let’s find out what were the final results and how it affected everyone.
Eripiyo’s leg had fully healed and she wanted to make up for lost time by immediately charging towards work. Somebody had to buy all dem Maina CDs.
She wanted to get started right away thus asking Kumasu to greet Maina for her. He explained this to Maina who in turn had a message for her, “Don’t overwork yourself”. Take a wild guess what happened next.
We joined A-ya wondering why she’s still in 6th Place below Sorane despite the latter dealing with (false) rumors of an affair. Her biggest fans said because she’s the “loli” of the group her chances of becoming Center were incredibly slim, instead embrace her loli role. She mistook that as “lolis were expendable in idol groups”.
To raise her chances she tried emulating Maki. It went as well as one would expect. When it comes to Japanese otaku they take their anime girl archetypes very seriously. It’s worth mentioning Yuka was the first to recognize A-ya in her new “Sexy” mode.
Eripiyo went the extra mile for Maina (again), for better or worse. The last day of the election had arrived. As expected Eripiyo was running on willpower. Sadly her body couldn’t keep up.
Eripiyo didn’t make it for the show. Maina grew restless. Even when Rena came to greet her she still thought of her beloved.
By the time Eripiyo regained consciousness it was too late. The election was over. Still she bought copies to support Maina. When the lovely employee (who I wish got more screen time) told Maina about it our heroine dashed to the subway in hopes of thanking Eripiyo. She wanted to tell her so badly how much she appreciated her support but worried over the boundary between idols and their fans. On the bright side she saw Eripiyo with a box full of her CDs and could barely contain her joy.
The next day Eripiyo joined Other Guy shopping for gifts to give their fav idols. They settled for clothes via recommendation. Eripiyo and fancy ladies don’t get along which predictably led to a hilarious exchange when she described Maina and her measurements to the saleswoman.
Before showtime Eripiyo had second thoughts, mainly whether it was selfish to expect something from Maina in return for her gift, hence the above decision.
The final election results were:
- Reo
- Maki
- Yuka
- Yumeri
- Sorane
- Aya
- Maina
Sorane did her best to keep a stiff upper lip but it was hard to hide her disappointment. Way to go Other Guy. I’m sure some won’t blame him but his desire to monopolize Sorane is worse than Eripiyo’s crazy devotion to Maina.
Another deflated girl was A-ya. Luckily her fans’ motivation brought her back to reality.
As usual Eripiyo and Maina’s romantic development is slow but most of us knew going into it that was the case. Even so the two are so precious it’s worth waiting. Great stuff as usual.

Meanwhile the relationship between #2 and #4 continues being sexy and heartwarming.
So glad the episode managed to end in a positive note after everything that happened. Yeah Maina still hasn’t learned how to talk, but she certainly is falling more in love the more Eripiyo talks now.
Aya is the funniest, but she deserves some happiness too, if only she got an episode with some progress for her with Yuka. At this point Eripiyo and Maina get along better than her and Yuka.

Baby steps.
Someday A-ya and Yuka will have their time in the spotlight.

The best parts were A-ya’s mature mode, as well as Eripiyo getting dazzled by her Maina daydreams and floating so far down the river that even the drawing style of the world was different ^^
Got to love leopard dress Aya with the drawn in cleavage! And I like how her stage performance was so out of character that even the music stopped ^^
There must be a way for Sorane to be reconciled – maybe Rena could do it by letting the fans know it was her that was seen with a guy. Sorane looked so sad. I’m hoping for both her and Aya to be happy again. I’m not a fan of the popularity voting, even though it kind of forms the basis of the story.
Maina loves Eripiyo more and more. It’s okay that she needs more time to gather courage, we know that Eripiyo will never give up on her.
If Eripiyo had given the shirt to Maina, Maina would have spent all evening cuddling it and treasuring it. Let’s hope she gets another present.

Eripiyo and A-ya were fun this episode.
Hopefully Sorane and A-ya get big hugs from Reo and Yuka.
Patience.
I imagine she’ll get her something else. L

Another fantastic episode!
Aya is definitely one of my favorites! She’s so cute and funny!
Poor Sorane.
Eripiyo and Maina continue to be precious.
Yumeri and Maki may not have had a lot of screen time this ep but what we got was as heartwarming as always!

Dem facials
Hopefully Reo will heal her sadness.
That they do.
That’s how fantastic they are.

Great episode.
The part about A-ya was absolutely hilarious. The drawn on cleavage was great. I did notice that Yuka was the first one to recognise A-ya, looks like they pay close attention to each other.
I’m actually kind of disappointed Maina didn’t actually call out to Eripiyo at the station but I understand why she didn’t do it.
I guess Sorane can look her beloved from behind now so maybe it’s not all that bad? I noticed that these new positions represent all the ships with one in the front and one in the back, nice touch. Also Motoi has definitively gotten more creepy toward Sorane since the scandal.

Aya x Yuka have a teasing relationship like Natsuki x Yuuko.

Nice Euphonium reference. I’ve also heard comparison to himawari x sakurako from yuruyuri.

A-ya! A-ya!
I wouldn’t worry too much about their relationship. Some people say Sakuhima, but I’m thinking it’s closer to MitsuMiku(Mitsudomoe) personally. Yuka doesn’t have that “older sister” sort of dynamic with A-ya like Himawari does with Sakurako.
I was thinking the jump through the glass was gonna result in another injury, but it ended up being the obvious result either way.
Wota are uncultured swine!! Loli types (especially when they’re not even minors in the first place!!!) are the best! Being constantly at the bottom is no good!
Maina wanted to call out to Eripyo, but she lost her ability to physically function because of her happiness XD
I do wonder if the series will ever deal with those two’s (Yumeri and Maki) more than obvious (to us) relationship being outed? From what I’ve seen Wota like to ship idols together, but if they were in a serious relationship, I’d imagine the reactions would be different. Could be wrong, but it just seems like the “shipping” is an extension of “Idols can’t be in romance” thing.

I seriously thought she really jumped from the window for a moment. Turns out it was symbolic. Eripiyo likes working for Maina’s sake. She will provide her with a lot of fancy stuff once they get married. You don’t have to worry anymore, Maina. Anyway, I loved this episode, I can’t stop smiling since yesterday. Aya is so funny. The way she tried to sing maturely (i hope that’s the right word) and made the music stop, that was comedy gold. Yes, Yuka knew right away. Heck, even I didn’t know at first. I called Other Guy the bad seed of a fan because his behavior from the start is not healthy. I knew this will happen. I hope he realized that. Because if this continues it’ll be a red flag. Eripiyo is indeed crazy about Maina but at least she knows her boundary. She knows it too well to the point she can’t even give Maina her gift! But wearing it also a nice touch too, so okay. I don’t care how long I have to wait I love them so much.

I ran into this show because of you, I totally love Maki and the blondie, Eripiyo and Maina..ahh it’s so slow, those 5 seconds talk kill me, I am ok with things going slow but for crying out loud, this will need 4 seasons before they do or say something that closes the deal!!! All in all, Eripiyo flipping bread and getting all injured is funny and heartwarming.

Apparently I didn’t comment here yet.
Good ep last week.
Aya trying to be mature was funny. That role just doesn’t suit her at all.
Eripiyo and Maina are still working on their relationship. Slow and steady, but we’ll hopefully see it blossom soon!
Not a lot from Maki and Yumeri this time, but it’s always nice to see them gaze romantically at each other. Also a bit said that Yumeri got placed in the back row. Gonna miss seeing her excellent dancing.
Rough ep for Sorane. She’s not doing great these days, but she’s still holding on and trying her best. Hopefully they clear up the misunderstandings around her soon.
I really wish Eripiyo had given that shirt to Maina. She would’ve looked so cute in it. Oh well, maybe next time.

I thought pig-kun would show up again, but Eripiyo missed the vote even without him, so sad.

First off, “Thicc maiden encouraging Maina.” That post description made me laugh XD
Gaaah! Eripiyo and Maina’s growing love is giving me all sorts of feels! Their genuine love for each other is admirable and I hope they will eventually one day be able to express how they feel to one another
Aya was so hilarious in this episode, from her try hard mature look (which tbh I found rather charming) to her dead face on stage XD XD
When Maki glanced back at Yumeri on stage it sure made me smile from ear to ear
