22/7 Episode 3: First Show

The time has come for Miu and the rest of 22/7’s first show. Let’s see how they did.

Mr Wall

Mr Wall.

Miyako was like “The Wall is such a drag yo. I figured I get a cute little mascot to lighten the mood. Allow me to introduce Mr Wall!”

What did Gorilla Goda have to say about The Wall’s new look?

Surprised Goda

22-7 Trainer

Sexy trainer.

Nicole prepping up Miu

I can already tell someone with the initials L.V.’s brain was going bananas in the Miu and Nicole scenes this episode.

As mentioned in the title The Wall said 22/7’s first show was coming up. Naturally worked around the clock to ensure it would happen on the exact date The Wall ordered, crappy equipment, small venue and all. During practice Miu had trouble keeping up with her team. As Miu sulked in the bathroom Nicole again snuck up on her and was like “I still disagree with you being the Center but I’m willing to do my part for the team so you better step up and be the best Center possible like you said you would. Oh. Take this and put your bangs back already.”

Miu still hiding the truth

Miu still hiding the truth.

Back home Miu still couldn’t tell her mom the truth. As we all know she got a familiar letter last time so the clock was ticking for our heroine.

22-7 First Show

Sorry but I’m not giving a play by play of the concert. You all NEED to see it yourselves. Trust me.

Miu ED

I NEED the full Miu Single ED as soon as it’s released!

Instead let’s skip to the Post ED stuff.

Akane scolding Miyako

Akane scolding Miyako.

Most of it was the girls deliberating on who or what is behind The Wall. Miyako and Akane’s reactions being the best. It ended with them agreeing to let it be for now.

Sakura keeping something from Miu

Sakura keeping something from Miu.

The important part was Sakura wanting to tell Miu something but holding back. I wonder what it could be? She already confessed so it must be huge for her to hold back for now. I look forward to the day she opens up about it.

Good stuff.

PS: I NEED an Akane centered episode.

Good debut concert and Miu on piano is awesome.

I think that Sakura wants to visit Miu to introduce herself as her girlfriend while meeting her future mother- and sister-in-law.

I’m loving this show in some ways even more than the other ones this season. Perhaps it’s just because I like the art style so much. And Nicole and her voice ^^

Miu is dashing when she smiles. (Nicole when she smiles… unbearably dashing) That hairstyle suits Miu. Can’t wait to hear what adorable Sakura has on her heart.

If we get an ending song and video for each girl, I’ll be in heaven…

Can’t help but feel a giraffe might have been a better mascot for The Wall.
Such a great episode for Miu.

    This show is really fantastic
It grips your heart and slowly crushes it…until you finally are free and somehow better than you were before the crushing started. It’s hard to explain, but it’s quite the emotional journey so far
I know people like joking, but I think people’s hopes are way too high, I’m thinking it’s something related to her home country.
    Kabe-chan is a cute wall!

  5. And here we have the “3rd episode debut performance” episode, complete with some kind of problem or difficulty that our heroes overcome. Seeing Miu saving the performance by playing the piano was great!
She’s really talented, isn’t she? I’m assuming she just had the entire song memorized in her head to be able to play it – doesn’t look like she was reading sheet music, someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Short review, but yeah it’s better to just watch the ep than explain it all.

I was sooooo stressed watching them perform honestly. Like I haven’t been that stressed watching an idol show in ages. But man I was right there with them freaking out when stuff starting going wrong. And Miu’s mom being there too, oh man that was just a whole new layer of stress now. But they pulled it off, Miu especailly coming through HUGE and saving the day with the piano there. She may be a very quiet and shy girl, but when she gets going she’s truly something special.

3 eps in and I’m fully on board with this show now. Can’t wait to see where things go from here!

My favorite episode so far. The cat should be The Wall’s mascot. The place looks better with it. I’m glad Nicole’s ice starting to melt. And not dragging this arc too long. She’s still a tsundere but in a cute way. I too was super nervous. I don’t want them to fail. I kept nervous, up until Miu played the piano and I thought this is her moment, the show is a success. Miu solo song is so good. I like her talking voice but I like her singing voice even more. The trainer is sexy indeed. Yes to Akane centered episode. I wonder what was Sakura about to ask. She says I love you so smoothly, must be something big. A date maybe. We’ll see.

We knew Nicole couldn’t be an ice princess forever so it’s good she’s melting quicker than usual for her character archetype.

It was amazing! When her Sakura started crying I was like “It’s now or never Miu. Do it for her (oh and the others to of course)!” And do she did. WOO!

Oh yeah. Deep voiced cutie is very good.

      Best side-character so far.

Eagerly anticipating Sakura’s episode next time.

I’ve been watching this and I have mixed feeling about this.
I absolutely love Miu’s voice, it really suits her.
There yuri is there with Sakura confession to Miu (and maybe even something with Nicolle?)
BUT I’m pretty tired of the whole “I won’t be able to do it”/ “I should have never become an idol” attitude from Mio. Doing it in the first episode was good but doing it 3 episodes in a row is a bit much.
I was about to drop the show because of that but then the piano part of the concert saved it. It was really good and seeing Miu finally smile while playing the piano was so cute.
I really hope they don’t drag Miu’s “indecision arc” any longer and move on to other characters.
