More idol x hardcore idol stan yuri goodness awaited us this episode…with something extra special in the middle.
Kumasu called Eripiyo over to check out a most interesting flier. It was about the upcoming Okayama Girls’ Festa, a festival dedicated to the ladies of Okayama or something like that. Cham Jam were set to make a guest appearance. Eripiyo got hyped…until she read the fine print about select members appearing. She was like “Of course it didn’t mean all the girls would be there. You know they’re only going with the Top 3.”

Cham Jam Top 3.
Kumasu begged Eripiyo to come so he wouldn’t feel awkward being one of the few guys there but she wouldn’t budge. Fortunately Guy #3 conveniently had the solution.

Love at first sight for Eripiyo. Maina took a little bit longer (or maybe she felt the same way at that moment too).
The trio got together to discuss the event. Kumasu mentioned Reo used to be part of another idol group. When Guy #3 asked for more info he was about to narrate but Eripiyo took over telling about how she met Kumasu but more importantly the day she first met and fell in love with Maina. As for Reo, she was a member of another underground idol group before joining Cham Jam. They broke up, she was scouted and became the leader of CJ. That’s about it for now. A neat little detail was Kumasu’s admiration of Reo being an honest one.
It was the day of the Girls’ Festa. Sadly our heroes failed to not stand out from the sea of lovely ladies. It was all to support their idols. None of the other models mattered to them.

Funny we had a runway segment this episode when an anime about runway models is airing this season.

Eripiyo’s effort to look feminine.
It was time for the Cham Jam idols to show their stuff. As expected the trendy ladies had no idea who they were (Underground idols and all). We could see how hard Reo tried holding in her nervousness. Kumasu wanted to show his support but was overcome with despair for Reo. Luckily Eripiyo motivated him to cheer her on which was exactly what she needed.
During Sorane’s turn Eripiyo had a very interesting inner monologue where she talked about the harshness of the idol industry. This can be applied to other entertainment careers as well. As previously mentioned the Top 3 Cham Jam members were Reo, Sorane and Maki. When it comes to groups of any kind there are usually the breakout members. One huge example was Beyonce when she was with Destiny’s Child. She went on to become an icon whereas the other two pop up every now and then but are nowhere near as fondly remembered. When it comes to groups you either:
1: Do your best to get noticed and amass a fanbase or,
2: The higher ups decide who will be the breakout star(s).

We’ll talk more about Maki later.
In this case it’s more the latter. This is why Eripiyo quickly lost hope of seeing Maina walk the runway when Maki came after Sorane as expected. She was about to give in when suddenly…

The Yuri Goddesses heard Eripiyo’s prayer.
Like Reo she’s super nervous but when she heard Eripiyo she shed tears. Eripiyo being the oblivious protagonist (Though she has valid reason for this) thought she was a burden to her. However…

Fingers crossed the endgame is the two finally understanding each other.

The life lesson Eripiyo teaches viewers. You can be in love with a celebrity but make sure not to spend ALL YOUR MONEY on their merch. Otherwise you’ll have nothing to wear. That and you’ll annoy your parents (and maybe the neighbors too).

Cham Jam discussing fan letters.
The second half of the episode centered around fan letters. Eripiyo brought up not having sent one to Maina all this time because it felt like a lost cause. On the other side Reo talked about not getting attached to any fan because it felt like betraying the others. Maina thought she didn’t really have that kind of problem because Eripiyo was the only true fan she had.

Maina and Kumasu.
We got a flashback of Maina constantly being visited out of pity by fans of the other members. That all changed when Kumasu showed up. She thought he was jumping ship but he was there on Eripiyo’s behalf. Back in the present Sorane arrived to check out her fan mail. Maina mentioned never getting any letters. Sorane was like “Not even from Eripiyo?” Maina said she’s too nervous to share her feelings with Eripiyo in person and hoped she would get a fan letter so she could express her love that way. Sorane knew what to do.
At the next show Sorane asked the girls what some of them would really like to have. When she got to Maina she was about to say “fan letters” but then remembered how hardcore Eripiyo was.

Yup. That’s something Eripiyo would do.
The rest I leave for viewers to see. It’s not wonderfully as I first mentioned, more like wonderfully sad. I’m pretty sure the goal is for the two to build up enough courage to speak their minds in person. At least I hope that’s where we’re heading.

I think I am falling in love with this woman.
Another excellent episode. Super excited for more.

Aya leaving for her part-time job.
Did you really think I’d forget to talk about the other girls? Remember the talk about getting attached to someone? We got hopeful signs of a relationship between Aya and Yuka. Probably a couple who bicker a lot but deep down love each other. We shall see. As for Yuka, see above pic of bug spray.
Now for the big one.
So back to the runway. While Maki was looking oh so sexy and hearing her fans cheer her on there was one person she spotted a mile away.

My dream came true.
Based on sex appeal my Top 3 at first glance were Maki, Yumeri and Sorane. On Twitter my homies and I talked about Maki and Yumeri sharing an umbrella in the ED and were like “Please be a couple, please be a couple, please be a couple!” One episode later and we got this scene. Dreams do come true ladies and gentlemen. Sexiest couple on the show.
Help me bros, I’m quaking and the grounds are cracking as Eripiyo donning her feminine look (only the hair anyway but that still slaps)
And I did notice some hints about other girls chiming in but I did not expect Maki and Yumeri to be together as a couple (I didn’t fully watch the OP and ED anyway) so this is one HUGE surprise for me. My grin was almost ear-to-ear at that time.
Oh and it looks like Maina is on her path of confession as well, go girl!!!!

I imagine what happened in Asteroid the next day knocked you out.
The wait may be a long one but I have a strong feeling it’ll be worth it.

It was so heartbreaking to see Eripiyo’s love letters scatter in the wind… But I have the feeling that she will get to write her beloved Maina a hundred more. A little more hardship will make the eventual (inevitable) romance all the more powerful.
I had been ambivalent about Maki until now. No more! The beautiful little segment of her and that cutie Yume came as a complete surprise. I love this show! It’s so sweet that Yume went to the festival just to see Maki. Adorable.
The kid Aya seems to think about nothing but the redhead (tsundere?) Yuka. A third couple? The umbrella scene of the OP implies something for them too ^^
The cascade of tongue clicks at Eripiyo and Kumasa’s code infractions at the festival made me laugh so hard. You can tell the author is a woman, she knows girls all right ^^
I love how Eripiyo’s friends stand by her, and how kind and supporting the idol girls are to each other. It’s a kind-hearted show.
Hoping so much for kisses! And I have to mention that Maina’s voice is so lovely, just that alone is enough to fall in love with her.

That’s most likely the plan for Maina and Eripiyo.
Fingers crossed Aya X Yuka are an item also.
So many “Tchs”. It was glorious.
Suzu’s the best but Eripiyo’s got cool homies too.
Love idol groups who help each other grow.
We can always hope for kisses.
From voicing a random girl in Zombieland Saga to one of the protagonists of a high profile yuri show. Not bad at all.

Another great episode!
I’m really liking Kumasu. He’s a cool guy.
The whole Yuka Bug Bit was pretty funny.
The Maki and Yumeri scene was Beautiful. Absolutely Beautiful.
Cant wait for more of this goodness!

Yup. Cool dood.
A classic joke but it usually gets a chuckle out of me.
I need more of them being all lovey-dovey.
Same.

This episode was glorious on so many levels. We can see how ChamJam interacts with each other. By the way, ChamJam are far more pretty than the other girls in that Festa event. Just saying. Maina so falls in love with Eripiyo, everybody in ChamJam knows it, even the staff. She always thinking about Eripiyo and Eripiyo only. She’s nervous when she’s around Eripiyo but willing to show her feelings via letters. It makes her more relatable to many other teenagers out there. I’m told she’s 17. One of the many good things about this show, it’s relatable. And Aya x Yuka, fingers crossed. More gays always welcome.
Now for the main event. Our prayers got answered right away, life is good! God, they’re so hot. Even the flirting was hot. Both are hot for each other. They don’t need fans, they have each other. I’m looking forward to seeing more of them. Expect more lewd hand holdings. As for the ending, I kinda suspected that. This is only the second episode after all. We get there soon.

Oh heck yes Cham Jam were prettier than the models.
I hope Maina and Eripiyo eventually get to share their feelings for each other. Cheering them on so hard.
Heck yes! Sexiest couple of the show, Maki X Yumeri!

Idols might get in trouble if they hug their brother, but kissing a girl is firmly in the “just good friends” territory, so it’s ok.
If you don’t want your hardcore fan going overboard, come up with a suggestion that limits them.
What is it with Makis being incredibly sexy? This, Love Live, and Fire Force all had incredibly sexy Makis. I’m beginning to think it’s a rule created by one of the many lesbian goddesses, but I’m not sure which one would have wanted to make Makis sexy. Maybe being a number one idol in the universe across multiple realities gives someone that kind of power?

Maki is a name specially reserved for gorgeous ladies.

Maina’s feelings are clear for the audience now, she’s in love with Eripiyo, which makes the goal of the series clear too, get the 2 of them to express their feelings, while a letter is a safe route for Maina, it’d be much better if they do it in person, so I hope they eventually get some time alone together.
Talking about alone time, Maki and Yume surely surprised us, it’s always excellent to have more couples and these 2 have a really hot dynamic I haven’t seen in a while, can’t wait for more of them.

Hopefully that’s where we’re heading.
A wonderful surprise it was, yes.

I love how the main otakus are not portrayed as the usual sterotypical disgusting type. Also, the yuri is noticeably stronger here and Maina has probably fell in love with our mc with that question she asked Reo lol.
Sad Maina has no other fans but I guessed the other stans were just either scared/impressed/respect of Eripiyo’s love for Maina that they just let her have Maina to herself xD

Oh, they affection for the Idol feel so legit that feel empathy
But this Idols is one of this minor one so the distance between the fans are Idol are not that much except by how the fan see

This was SO much better than the first one. Showing both sides and confirming that Maina also loves Eripiyo helped a lot. It was also a lot funnier than the first one.
I actually liked Maki before and seeing her with glasses only furthered that and that scene with Yumeri was the killing blow for me. Hoping for more.
I loved that when Maina though Kumasa was switching to be her fan the first thing she thought of (even before being happy for herself) was how that might effect Eripiyo’s friendship with him. That’s so cute.
There is definitively something between Aya and Yuka.
Losing all of those haiku might not be so bad after all since some of them were kind of creepy. I’m sure they’ll find another way to communicate their feeling to each other.
Are you watching Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken? It’s about 3 girls who want to make an anime. No Yuri in sight yet but it’s really interesting regardless.

It helps that you know both Eripiyo and Maina love each other.

I was so sure I had commented here already. I feel like I even remember writing a comment.
Great second ep, the fashion show was nice and the girls looked so cute.
The scene with Maki and Yumeri was by far the highlight for this ep. Really hope they do more with their relationship going forward, so good.
Tough break for Eripiyo with all her letters going chucked out the window. Feels bad man.

I was just as happy to see Maina in that fashion runway show (she stood out to me in my opinion).
Wasn’t expecting Maki x Yumeri but I’m not one to complain either cause I definitely ship them a lot now. Their fluff is just too much for my heart to handle!
