As mentioned on my Twitter Page and in updates to the post the rest of my coverage of this show will feature NSFW pics so readers need be careful where they read my KJG posts.
The episode basically restarted the race so we can relish all the action and learn the basics of how Kandagawa Jet Races work.
The goal of each race is naturally to finish all laps and come in 1st place. Let’s go over the gimmicks.
The main attraction, of course is the “Suit Purge”. Basically it’s the world famous “Clothing Deterioration” feature found in what we can refer to as Kenichiro Takaki’s “Ecchiverse” (Senran Kagura, Valkyrie Drive, KJG). Here it appears to serve another feature besides blessing male and female viewers/players with awe inspiring visuals. This IS a combat racing series so hitting pressure points on enemy jets or the Shooter will slow down the jet’s speed and weaken the Shooter’s accuracy and power output. That’s what I gathered from our wonderful commentators’ explanation.
Back to the race. As expected the champs knew what they were doing and waited for the right time to make their move easily taking the lead.
To Kaguya’s surprise Rin proved to be a very skilled Jetter. Rin’s seriousness helped Misa regain focus and do more than sulk.
I have a strong feeling there will be plenty of available swimsuits and lingerie to choose from in the game. Kuromaru was glad Misa got serious but was surprised by a direct hit. However, in the end the champs were victorious. See, Kaguya’s skills were so great she never felt a need to use the “Boost” to win races. Rin and Misa seemed to be the first opponents to break that streak but Kuromaru was like “Don’t worry. I got this” and got a critical hit on The Orca (RinMisa’s jet), slowing it down and giving the champs the win.
During the race Kaguya (and Misa) wondered why Rin didn’t use the Boost. When asked Rin said “Because I didn’t know how to use it”. So despite only having experience riding run of the mill jet skis it was more than enough to give the two best racers in Kandagawa one heck of a fight…with handicaps no less. As Rin saw the champs practicing Misa explained that Jet Racing Clubs can schedule times to use tracks for practice runs, meaning Kaguya was just messing with Rin earlier. Knowing this Rin was hyped to train for their next race against the super gorgeous Jetter (her words, not mine) but Misa said she needed to be in a club. The next day she set off to fulfill the requirements to start one.
Step 1: Flirt with her homeroom teacher Miss Yamada to become the Club Advisor.
Step 2: Recruit potential members. First up her classmate from Episode 1.
Step 3: Get a Trial Period approved.
I’d be shocked if the Seitokaichou and Kaguya weren’t related in some way. Unfortunately Step 3 was a bust for Rin. Her charms had no effect on the prez.
Deflated Rin summarized her quest to Misa as only she could. Misa, powerless against Rin’s cuteness gave in and joined the club.
Another excellent episode. Based on the previews RinMisa will meet up with the Foreigner Team next time.
Some stuff worth noting.
Kaguya hoped her race with Misa would be one where the two could give it their all but as we saw the champs’ opponents raced with handicaps…and STILL nearly got the win. This left Kaguya reflecting long and hard.
Wait a minute. What’s Kuromaru’s full name again? Kuromaru Manpuku. Why does that sound familiar?
Let’s see:
- Tallest girls in their respective series.
- Largest measurements though Kuromaru is clearly bigger.
- Both are pudgy.
- Both are the strongest characters in their series.
- Both wear maid outfits.
- Both have large appetites and bottomless pit stomachs.
- Both have stars in their eyes.
Maru Family confirmed!
Hahaha this episode was a very good one, I like how Rin-chan convinced the poor teacher with her lovability. I also enjoyed how she was worried about Misa-chan’s ass. It is very silly and cute while still being echhi and fun. I can say I expected nothing and I am glad I gave it a chance.

It’s an “Ecchiverse” based anime so expect lots of sexiness and gayness.

Lots of glorious stuff in this week’s ep, man I love the uncensored version so much.
Nice to get some info on how the races work and what the deal with their suits coming off is. Not that mind seeing their suits come off… Also that was funny how Rin was so concerned about Misa’s ass more than anything. She’s such a fun girl.
I’ll save the rest of my thoughts for my post in Sunday, but yeah I enjoyed this second ep a lot.

It’s the right way to watch this show, yes.
It’s a sports anime so an info dump about how the game is played was to be expected at some point. It was integrated very well here. The anime is essentially a commercial for the game but so far it’s an excellent one.
Rin is a precious lovable lesbian..
As usual I’ll drop by to check out your thoughts.

Another great episode! Even Rin’s drawings are as Totes Adorbs as she is!

This anime is the most gayest anime of Fall 2019. Misa and Rin are fated indeed. I can see that 2019 is the year where most shipping pairs are solid….

It’s not as legendary as 20-Gay-Teen but Summer and Fall so far have certainly made up for the lackluster Spring season.

I agree. I’ll just be rewatching the anime if not for Bocchi. Even if it’s not yuri, Bocchi was the one of two anime that I waited for next episode. In the end, Bocchi became one of my top 10 anime of 2019.

Bocchi was one of the few bright spots of the Spring season.

This review got more glorious every time I see it. If you don’t mind I’m gonna save a pic or five. So anyway, what a great episode. And this is just episode two. I don’t know if I’m gonna survive this. Rin is still as gay as ever. Teacher, join the club. That picture storytelling was adorable. I can see clearly what P-cup’s look like. Talk about see, I watched both censored and uncensored, the censored one got me blind. No more for me. So, now that I get the hang of the rules I’m ready for more.

As soon as the full body shots became available I went to work swapping the old pics.
Always nice discussing shows like this with women of culture.
Rin’s powers are at their strongest when seducing ladies who have a weakness for cuteness.
Yeah. Watching the censored version is hazardous to one’s health.
I’m ready to pick up the game when it eventually gets localized. Hopefully on the Switch despite there only being a PS4 version in Japan.

Yamada-sensei had no chance in the first place, not against Rin’s powerful attacks.
So far I’m liking the slice of life aspect a lot more than the racing parts, which left me partly bored, and partly frustrated (“Ah, let’s shoot at them from a distance with a submachine gun, instead of when we are right next to each other! What a brilliant strategy, destined to lead to victory!”).

True, even I got incredulous seeing them stare at each other from within arm’s reach and not use their guns…

Jetski racing already exists but I doubt we’re getting anything in real life similar to this.
