The mysterious Shion finally got the spotlight this episode and more Ryoko is always a good thing.
What Lilith expected to happen.
She’s worthy of a dark aura despite being (supposedly) human.
After another funny “Momo wants Shamiko to get buff” scene prior to the OP Shion was ready to take the stage. Take a wild guess who informed her of Momo and Shamiko’s partnership.

Shion was ready to perform many exp-, I mean tests on Shamiko in the name of unholy science but her “Producer/girlfriend” wasn’t having it.
Sure. That’ll do.
The first experiment had me busting my gut, specifically when Lilith responded to Shamiko’s “honest opinion”. Momo offered to help with the experiment, much to Lilith’s surprise.

Using her beloved as a model she molded an adorable spare body for Lilith. Of course she wasn’t stupid, knowing full well Lilith’s status. So that’s Shion’s time in the spotlight. Good stuff.
Shamiko is so calm.
The 2nd half began with preicous imouto Ryoko wondering why the laptop wasn’t working. Shamiko was like “Let’s ask Momo for help”. One simulation later and she was (mostly) ready to inquire for her assistance.

At Momo’s pad Shamiko, after “forcing” herself to cook for her soul mate, requested she keep their partnership a secret from Ryoko, wanting to be a good role model and all. Momo wondered why it was necessary, even telling Shamiko that the liar was the one truly suffering (or something like that). Then she saw Ryoko’s smile and…
Ryoko figured it out.
Not only did Ryoko know the truth about Momo long ago but she figured out their relationship (Their professional one. The romantic one is reserved for another time). Ryoko’s smile was too precious to ruin so she went along with her view of the two.

I won’t say much about the ShamiMomo moment. Know that it’s yet another excellent one.
Back home Shamiko puzzled about Momo. Despite having out with and being subconsciously attracted to her she knew nothing about her on a personal level. She asked Ryoko for tips.
Ryoko can potentially help Shamiko rule the world one day.
Next time it looks like we’ll get answers to many questions. Yet another excellent episode.

Momo love her girlfriend Shamiko to the point she is willing to do ANYTHING for her. And she even vent her anger out on poor Mikan for the previous episode, and of course, to make Mikan Shaniko’s loyal subordinates. But what I love the most was ShamiMomo’s moment after Ryoko’s ‘misunderstanding’

This episode was so lovely! My favourite so far. Right from the beginning it was non-stop delight, especially the part going from Shamiko pestering Mikan right into the mysterious sport drink ingredients and Momo’s transformation. I love the screws and random things inside her trinket box, and it’s always nice to see her smile (still waiting for the spins and winks that Mikan said she used to do).
So much romance. Shamiko’s delighted smile when Momo steps in front of her to protect her, and all the little wonderful moments they have together. Momo loves Shamiko’s cooking, and Shamiko loves cooking for her.
There was also something charming about Mikan, Ryoko and the cat on the balcony in the evening sun, as if everyone was finally together and settled to the way things are now. The cat’s comment seemed to agree.
We need more physical contact with Momo and Shamiko. Don’t be afraid to get closer and touch her, Momo.
I also listened properly to the opening song for the first time, and it sounds so sweet when they sing together.

Momo being concerned and protective of her girlfriend was very sweet.
Shion did not disappoint.
That scene also had me busted my gut! And Lillith’s spare body is adorable! It is modeled after Momo’s beloved so of course it would be!

“I’m not you’r maid! But I’ll make you launch because I love you.” Basically what she said.
Can’t wait to find out about more secrets next episode!

another wonderful yuri scene, momo being good gf protecting her future bride and made so much effort to shake the protein drink in her magical girl form. she was like “yeah, anything u cook i shall eat it and a wife supposed to be cooking for their beloved right” owo . my heart melted because of the gayness and the cuteness. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Many would, by gut instinct (especially youngsters), imagine the scenario of wronging their friend/lover (breaking their laptop) would lead to the other coming to hate them in return, maybe even leave them.
But not Shamiko, who’s dreading Momo upping her workout load instead. For me, that indicates that our demon girl is confident enough in their relationship to know that Momo might get angry, but wouold not come to hate her.
Also, Shamiko getting upset seeing Momo eating junkfood for lunch is precious. Not on her watch! Once again she has showed her girlfriend what a great wife she’s gonna be (for her). And the more she’s getting into it, the more tsundere she gets, as usual.
Imouto assuming that her sister seduced Momo is hilarious and not even far from the truth. Even if the crisis management outfit did not play any role in that (yet?).
Imho, Momo seeing Shamiko with Mikan in the cinema might have made her realize that she needs to up her game, or her girlfriend might get taken from her. Hence the request she made to Shamiko to cook for her again (twice in this episode!), not to mention her admitting that Ryouko wasn’t that far off with her overall analysis of their situation (though replace ‘legion’ with ‘harem’).
And next time, it seems like Mom gets to meet her future daughter-in-law.

Also, I absolutely love how consistent and thoughtful this show (and the author) is about details, a lot of things have been meticulously planned forward. Like Momo’s obsession with cats/Tama Sakura (even her door code is “goro-goro nya-chan”).
Remember the wiener-selling scene? Momo was on her way home from grocery shopping, and Shamiko even commented on its contents (the ingredients that Momo later used for trying to cook the hamburger patty that she promised Shamiko). A redditor pointed also out that Momo’s hand was injured while saving Shamiko in the beginning, then she was seen with a bandage around her wrist for a little while after.
Although I think this level of forethought is only outstanding because we tend to look at this show/story as a typical 4-coma that does a soft reset at the end of each episode/chapter. But we can see more and more clearly that this is a story driven show, rather than an episodic one, right from the beginning.
A fun lil’ fact: although Shion was in the first few episodes as one of Shamiko’s friends, this wasn’t so in the manga (only Anri was there with them). So the anime might seem a bit contradictory about their caution against Shion even tho they kind of knew her 8 episodes ago.

That was my favorite episode so far!! Ryoko basucally saying Shamiko seduced Momo and Momo agreed! No one can convince me this is not a romantic comedy now.

It’s another fun episode. I have to admit that the experiments that Shion does on Lilith is funny and that Momo created a really cute doll for Lilith to control. Still, it seems that Momo knows that Lilth will carry out her evil plans that she can control the body. I guess the only way Lilth can do what she wants to do is to get her body back.
But yes, Ryoko’s smile is a precious cinnamon bun. Still, it’s nice to see Shamiko and Momo becoming more of a reality.

I find it interesting that Shion wields both (mad) science and occult rituals in equal measure. Yes, she would be a great addition to Shamiko’s Army…if Shamiko actually had a evil bone in her body. Also, she would have to speak to Shamiko’s Producer first to approve any experi- I mean tests!
Lilith’s new body was well crafted but I say it needs more modifications before she really utilize it. Can’t do evil things with it, however, as she is on Momo’s leash. Also, I’m sure she would prefer a water-resistant construct to move around in. She won’t be enjoying any hot springs otherwise.
As expected of Ryoko, she figured out that Momo was a MG all along. She also figured out that Shamiko used her demonic persuasion to make Momo hers. She ain’t wrong in a sense. Well, that was a nice fantasy and all but it’s time for the Pink Crusher of hopes and dreams to…!to…to protect that adorable smile!! Again, there’s some truth to want Ryo imagined. After all, Shamiko makes Momo healthy meals and scolds her for eating just junk food and Momo goes out of her way to beef Shamiko up, even going as far as to make her a protein shake(made of a strange concoction that tastes surprisingly good) in her MG form. Poor Mikan, though.
Like Shamiko, I too would like to know more about Momo and what makes her tick. I wonder how much we’ll get outta her.

Momo was once so concerned with Shamiko falling into darkness, and now she herself has fallen! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
This episode has established one thing for certain. Shamiko’s next invasion must be into cooler territory… at least the air conditioned kind.
