During E3 2019 Sekai Games, a sub-division of Sekai Project focused on porting games to home consoles, announced their lineup. One of them being Studio Élan‘s Heart of the Woods!
This is huge news for the following reasons:
- Heart of the Woods is the first ever Western Yuri Visual Novel to be ported from the PC to a home console.
- Heart of the Woods is the first Yuri Visual Novel to hit the Switch in the West/outside of Japan.
- Heart of the Woods is the first Yuri Visual Novel to be ported from the PC to a home console in the West/outside of Japan. The Playstation Vita is a portable console so it technically does not count. I am referring to the current Big 3: Switch, PS4, XBOX One.
A release date was not yet announced but I imagine it will be sometime this Summer or Fall.
