Revue Starlight Re Live Coming to the West

On April 2nd, 2019 Bushiroad announced that they would be partnering with A Team Inc to bring the popular mobile game of the 2018 yuri hit “Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight Re Live” to the West!

The game will become playable April 30th, 2019 but here’s the kicker. If enough people, 90000, go to Google Play or the Apple Store (whichever other site the game can be downloaded at) and pre-register before then, everyone who registered will be rewarded with “2 Star” cards of all 9 Seisho to start the game. Think of how long Love Live! and BanG Dream! fans who did not pay had to wait before they got some version of their favorite group/band. This time we may not have to.

For readers who haven’t registered yet go to the game’s English website HERE and enter your email address.

Tutorial vid to give readers a preview of what kind of game it is. It’s not another rhythm game this time.

About the game:

▼24 Quirky and Lovable “Stage Girls”

15 new “Stage Girls”, made specially for Revue Starlight Re LIVE, appear alongside the nine “Stage Girls” of Seisho Music Academy featured in the musical and anime series, making for a total of 24 characters. Voicing these characters is an all-star cast of Japanese voice actresses.

▼Exciting Turn-Based Battles

Players tap panels to select the actions their “Stage Girls” will take in battle. Each action will fill their “Brilliance Gauges”, which can be used to perform a stunning “Climax Revue” when full. When a “Climax Revue” is set in motion, the music will change to a song suiting the active character and players can activate special “Climax Acts” unique to each character. Additionally, if two or more “Stage Girls” perform a “Climax Act” and if special conditions are met, they can perform an even more impressive “Finishing Act” following the next turn.

With player-versus-player battles also available to enjoy, players will have endless fun raising their “Stage Girls” and coming up with strategies for battle.

▼Intricate Growth Systems

There are numerous ways players can power up their “Stage Girls”, such as increasing their levels with experience points, unlocking skill panels, and giving them gifts. Giving them enough gifts will also reveal original stories for players to enjoy.

Additionally, players can set special items called “Memoirs” to their “Stage Girls” to power them up even further. “Memoirs” are meaningful memories of the characters that have been depicted as illustrations.

▼Numerous Outfits for Each “Stage Girl”

The “Stage Girls” appear in numerous outfits, and their visuals and voice samples change accordingly. Players will surely enjoy seeing their favorite characters perform different abilities based on the outfits they wear.

▼About Revue Starlight

Based on the concept of the same cast performing in both musicals and animation, the project first began in September of 2017 with the release of the musical. The songs and dances performed became a sensation, and the musical was quickly brought back in January of 2018. In that same year, the anime series was broadcast on television in July and the newest stage performance opened in October.

Now if somehow the Release the Spyce, Symphogay, Yki Yuna, Toji no Miko and even Meduca Meguca mobile games could get localized I would be a happy camper.

Revue Starlight Chibi Show

As a bonus announcement it was also announced late March that the series would be getting a chibi spinoff called “Shoujo Konto All Starlight”. Fingers crossed it’s as good as Mini Toji.

Really great news. I’ve been waiting for this day since the JP version which I can’t play it because I have to use Japan VPN. And I never thought it’ll come this soon. Can’t wait to play the Starlight 99th Class but the other groups are cute and gay too. Btw OG-san, have you tried BanG Dream?

2* are crap! I play the Japanese version and it’s fantastic, the game is pretty nice. If you play the game you would only care to have the 2* for free diamonds, you don’t use them at all unless you don’t have a good tank (in that case use Karen)

  5. Mauron says:

More Mimorin being gay? I’ve already preregistered 3 times! :O

I hope this works on an android emulator

Good. Thank you for bring this to my attention, OG (I’m very bad at tracking these kind of info).

I am already playing the JP version but will definitely play this one as well. Thank goodness it’s not another rhythm game (nothing bad with those, just not my best cup of tea)

I’m leaving my first comment ever just to say OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.
Would not have known about this otherwise.

I don’t usually play mobile games but I’ll give this one a chance. The combat system look cool.
I kind of hope that they will give Mahiru her own girl but they probably won’t. Most of the new characters look pretty good.
