I HAVE RETURNED! Vacation was okay. Mostly health check ups (Gotta exercise more of course.) and visiting a sick relative (Hopefully he’ll be okay). There were ultimately two days I have super fun with but I already knew it wasn’t going to be super thrilling vacation. Oh well. As the Mighty No. 9 people said, “Better than nothing”. At least I got to see lots of awesome dogs. Note: Cartagena is TOO HOT (literally) to raise huskies at (My cousin has a totes adorbs one) but Medellin and Bogota, colder regions of Colombia, much better. Medellin was where I saw lots of great pooches.
But enough about my vacation. I’m back, mostly refreshed and with A LOT to be excited for so let’s get started talking about as many of the stuff that’s got me hyped as possible.
Before we get to the two super announcements (Yes I’m starting with the big guns) here is a reminder that Lilycle Rainbow Stage and National Park Girls (Episode 1) are available for purchase.
NPG 1: Steam
Now for the big news articles.
First up we have the long awaited (sort of) localization of the Remaster to the Pseudo-Prequel, set in the same universe but has a different cast, to Nurse Love Addiction. It’s Kogado Studios’ Nurse Love Syndrome, published by Degica Games.
Description: In a fantasy Japan, where womanly love is the norm, and a nurse can heal others with a touch of her hands…
Meet cheerful Kaori Sawai, fresh out of nursing school, as she joins Yurigahama Hospital. Surviving a near death experience as a child left her with a desire to become a nurse and “healing hands” that let her relieve pain in patients just by touching them.
Written by real life nurses Sakura Sakura and Madoka Madoka, Nurse Love Syndrome shares the same world as Nurse Love Addiction. Focusing on young adults fresh out of school, guide Kaori in her story of growth, love, and medicine.
The game will be available sometime this coming April on Steam (Click to add to Wishlist) and PS Vita/TV.
For those wondering. Yes, like its successor the game features both sweet and…”those” kinds of endings. Those who played the game RAW please don’t spoil anything. Not one word.
The 2nd big news is that the manga Fragtime is getting an anime. No word on the premiere date or format yet but the interested can follow the show’s Twitter Page HERE.
Plot Summary: What would you do if you could stop time? Moritani for one is using her unusual ability to stop time for three minutes a day to observe the people around her. One day, she chooses to “observe” class idol Murakami’s panties – only to find herself in a very compromising situation when her classmate turns out to be immune to her power.
I already read the manga and I think it was a solid read. It has enough cute and steamy moments. The drama is also there but for fans who dislike Citrus and Bloom Into You’s Super Drama need not worry about the one in Fragtime going too far with it. At least from what I can remember. I thought it was a good story is what I’m saying. I imagine that because of the premise and the manga not being all that long the episodes will be short. I’m hoping more than 5 minutes and not 3 to coincide with the manga.
Now for other stuff that grabbed my interest.
One of my most anticipated anime of Summer 2019 “Dumbbell nan Kilo Moteru?” got a brief but excellent teaser trailer. Based on it and descriptions from peeps who read the manga it’ll be similar to Takunomi, educational show about beautiful ladies talking about stuff while looking amazing snacking and drinking alcohol, but this time it’s centered around staying in shape. This is perfect timing for me as I’m currently doing my best to lose weight and I can do that while enjoying one of my passions, beautiful muscular women. I know I could just a workout video but we all know muscular anime babes have more detailed abs and pecks than real life fitness beauties who don’t compete in bodybuilding or fitness competitions. In any case 2D and 3D buff babes are to be respected and worshiped.
It’s one of several Summer 2019 anime I’m super pumped for.
DoraKone, the free yuri VN I mentioned HERE is coming to Steam in early April so the few who for some reason have yet to play the game can do so very soon.
Kill La Kill “IF” (I’m guessing the “if” refers to “What if”) the Game has a release date in the West July 26th. While I was interested in the game that’s not what I’m most excited for. My biggest wish came true.
Mako will be playable (As one of two free DLC)! Some curious about the game dislike it being an “Anime Arena fighter” like the modern Naruto, Dragonball Z and the recent Jump Force games. I’m cool with it because MAKO and 3D arena fighters have their charm to them. This one looks like another enjoyable one.
The roster so far is as follows:
- The Elite Four
- Dual Blade Ryuko
- Dual Blade Satsuki
- Nudist Beach Duo Mech
My best guess is if the game has more DLC we’ll either get some jobbers Ryuko beat up, Evil Ryuko (wearing Junketsu) and Satsuki (or Mako to make me happy) wearing Senketsu, or some guest characters from other Studio Trigger shows like Kamina and/or Zero Two.
Gun Gun Pixies is coming to the West! Think something like the Gal Gun games but instead of an invisible male protagonist you have the above girls. Nuff said. The game is set to release sometime this year on the Nintendo Switch and PC. Why not the PS4 also? Because Sony are as bad or worse than Valve when it comes to censoring Japanese games with lewd content. Not just anime ones. Even big titles like Devil May Cry 5 aren’t safe.
The Nanoha Detonation Blu-Ray, Part 2 of Nanoha Reflection basically, will be releasing in Japan on June 19th. This most likely means that by the end of June or July it’ll be subbed.
It was announced after the end of Season 2 that BanG Dream! Season 3 was postponed to Winter 2020.
NIS (Disgaea, Labyrinth of Refrain, Witch and the Hundred Knight etc) announced this year they’re working on what looks like a post-apocalyptic adventure game with VN cut scenes set in Akiba…starring five lesbians based on the CGs found in the game’s Twitter page HERE. According to the Crunchyroll Source the game title is “Jinrui no Minasama he or To All Mankind”. Fingers crossed the Western divisions of NIS localize this one sometime in 2020.
Before we get to the next topic one more NIS announcement that made me giddy.
Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk. The followup to one of my favorite NIS Originals of all time, Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk. Similar to Nurse Love Syndrome and Addiction, Galleria is set in the same universe as Refrain but tells a different story. This time the “avatar”, which was a book in the first game, seems to be a lamp of sorts. The witch and apprentice this time are Madam Malta and Perico respectively. Dunno if the story will be as good but I’m sure the gameplay will have some cool new features. It appears the game has a PS4and Vita release in Japan but no Switch version. Hopefully that’ll change when Galleria comes to the West.
Now then. Back to cute and sexy girls thrown into survivalist environments. Here we have an anime about a group of cute and sexy girls stranded on an island…surviving. “Sounen Desu ka?” or “Are you lost?” Coming Summer 2019.
I think that about does it for big updates. Oh yes. Uzamaid! is getting an OVA with a PROPER beach segment. Happy I’ll FINALLY get to see Tsubame and Midorin in swimsuits. That is all.
Now to finish some Spring anime and review them.
