Preparation were set to start rehearsing the seitokai stage play but there were a few loose ends to take care of first.
We started the episode with Toukou, Sayaka and some fellow seniors talking about memory like dreams. Dreams about yearning to go back to a particular time in the past. To a better time essentially. We’ll talk about more about that in a bit. We then joined Yuu trying to check out the finished draft of Koyomi’s script but she put up a bit of a fight before letting it go.
I see Yuu remembered their little adventure last time as she’s having trouble being near Touko. Yes lass, she’s super hot and tasty. Poor dear could barely control herself by going back to her usual denial. Touko on the other hand noticed her sweetie backing off and thought it’d be best to TRY and control her hunger from now on.
Without going into too much detail on her character descriptions here are some of the more notable reactions:
Yuu: Oh. So I’m a side-character eh?
Touko: Dang. It’s scary how perceptive she is.
Sayaka: Wait! She doesn’t know about my true feelings…does she?
As we noticed every time Yuu talked to her about writing her perception was praiseworthy.
Miss Riko stopped by to tell Touko she approved the council’s request of organizing a training camp to practice for the play.
After the meeting was over Yuu and Touko got together at a food joint to study again.
Touko: So Yuu. You okay with Sayaka getting the part of “my lover”?
Yuu: Yeah. No problem.
Touko: Thought so.
“In actuality it did bother her a bit but she held back”
A few minutes later.
Touko: Need some help?
Yuu: You know. There is something worrying me. A certain someone possibly chomping me at training camp.
Touko: Come on Yuu. I promise I’ll be gooooood. For realzies this time. I don’t want to scare you away…
Yuu: No. It’s no trouble at all…Touko. (I can’t take the initiative. Who knows what would happen…)
Meanwhile…
Miyako wanted some sugar but Miss Riko had business to attend to so she hushed her for the time being. Miyako was like “Tch. You owe me babe”.
Not much to say regarding wish papers. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out what Yuu wanted to write deep down but couldn’t.
Mom didn’t let Yuu play her 2DS for long but she was actually thinking about Touko and her trying to tone down her hunger. Yuu thought “I don’t need her to have a good time. She’s been holding me down ever since we started hanging out. I can have fun without her”.
Rei-chan had a night shift. Mom told her Yuu went out with her friend Natsuki. Rei’s reaction. “Wait. She didn’t go out with Touko? Laaaaaaaame.”
I’ll keep their hangout short. Yuu invited Natsuki along to shop for clothes to wear at the training camp. Later they went to Miyako’s coffee shop. The most notable thing was Natsuki listening to Yuu talk on and on about Touko and she was like “Whoa dood. I’ve never seen you so interested in anything before, let alone a person. You know. I guess it won’t hurt telling you this. I wanted you to come to the same high school as me so we could continue being on the same softball team. But then I realized if I asked you you’d only do it because I asked you to. So it was better to let you make your own choice…(Even though I wanted to be together with you a little longer).
We then joined Touko at her place having dinner. It was ruined when her dad pleaded with her to not go through with the play, upsetting her. Her anger mixed with her yearning for Yuu were too strong to contain so she gave in and called her beloved. Put simply the two relished hearing one another…although by now we know how the two feel deep down.
After the ED Touko had a nightmare about Mio. You know, yearning for better times. She was more determined than ever to become Mio 2.0…
If yuu and Touko doesn´t work out we still have the adult couple giving us some happy couple life.
Yuu is having a hard time to keep it together but different way then Touko.
Natsuki was most likely still is in love with Yuu and she is a bit jealous as she noticed that Yuu is falling for someone at all and really wished to be her.
Koyomi nailed the plot situation. Describing the main character as an empty one after she lost her memory fits the profile of Nanami, as she is trying to be her sister, she is not being her-self ergo empty shell trying to fill a void.

For the pessimistic or so-called realists out there that seems to be the plan.
Yup.
Most likely.
Righto.

Such a cute misunderstanding, Touko holding her urges after she realized Yuu was pulling away, on the other hand Yuu was only pulling away because she’s getting flustered around Touko.
Here comes the script, Koyomi surely is observant, if only she knew who the real lover should be in her script.
The adults are so flirthy omg, didn’t see this action in the manga. I approve.

Great stuff as usual.
Koyomi is a clever girl.
Me too. The more screen time they get together, the better.

We still haven’t been told the “ending” to the play. For all we know, the amnesiac ends up with the nurse at the end, since the nurse is who helped her the most after the incident, and everyone else is just something that she’s being told is true. Yet her memories only support the nurse’s reactions with her as being true, since they did in fact happen to her and she doesn’t need others to confirm it.
Might not be. But that seems a logical path to be taken. Also, may not be the current plot (as no one is reacting as if that were the case), but I do wonder if the ending will end up like this by the final draft?

Koyomi’s really the best 😀 She doesn’t need to know anything to know anything LOL 😛 People with major and dark secrets should avoid her.
Well Yuu is starting to get there. Her feelings are still pretty manageable for now that’s why she still able to hold back. While Touko has some other important things to worry about 🙂
And Riko-sensei and Miyako are cute as always 😀 I really love them 🙂

Clever girl.
The plot continues thickening.
The more screen time they get the better.

Koyomi is sexy. I love her expressions, and she’s smart too. And shy. I like shy girls.

I’m pretty sure Miyako’s gaydar was going off a lot when Yuu and Natsuki visited her café and Yuu kept talking about Touko and stuff…or at least that’s what her glance and momentary stopping suggested to me.
Also, Miyako and Riko-sensei are indeed wonderful and amazing.
Koyomi is indeed scarily perceptive.
And Touko and Yuu both keeping a bit of distance in order to avoid hurting the other, but then caving in at the end and just needing to talk to each other to stay sane…

Miyako is a pro after all. Forgot to comment about that but it was obvious.
Always.
That she is.
Teenage love is hard. Some people still don’t get that.

Yuu’s feelings more and more obvious. Deep down she knows that she already there but afraid to admit it. Teenagers huh, so complicated. A writer’s way of thinking is very sharp, don’t underestimate a writer’s mind. I want Riko x Miyako spin-off.

Most likely.
People who write editorials on the internet are good examples of that…probably.
Most of us do.

Having to hide your true feelings is tough. I had a less extreme version of Yuu’s situation once, and it was hard to keep things in. Yuu having to hide all affection on her end would drive me nuts.
Mom clearly hasn’t figured out what Rei has. I’m sure she’ll catch up at some point.
I was hoping Natsuki would point out Yuu’s crush, since she might not have mentioned a gender in the conversation.
I’m sure Miyako collected on that IOU from Miss Riko with interest.

I can imagine.
Eventually.
She made sure to collect after Miss Riko finished her call.

Most of the time you get the message to “be yourself”, and maybe that’ll be what happens here too. But i personally don’t see anything wrong with Touko’s determination to be her sister, as long as it’s her own decision and it makes her happy/gives her purpose. One day she may decide to start living for herself, and that’s fine too, but i say for now let the girl do what she desires.

Wow, I really appreciate how much thought has been put into the plot of the play instead of defaulting to the usual Romeo and Juliet, it sounds really interesting and it has potential to be a good story just on its own. The casting was spot on.
Didn’t really like it at the begging but I have really grown to like Yuu and Touko’s relationship. In a way they are both trying to not show too much affection to the other for fear of being rejected (for different reasons).
The phone call scene at the end was really cute
