A day late but here are three Strike Witches anime announcements to celebrate the franchise’s 10th anniversary.
The first announcement is Strike Witches: 501 Butai Hasshin Shimasu, translated to 501 Unit, Taking Off. It will be based on a spinoff manga centering around what the 501st unit Witches do on their time off. Basically it will be a fun little series. Wouldn’t be surprised if the episodes for this show are short. This show is scheduled for 2019.
Next up is Road to Berlin, aka the long awaited Strike Witches 3. This one is scheduled for 2020.
The third announcement is the tentatively titled “Ongakutai Witches” which will center around a brand new unit. This unit is either an anime original or based off of a manga or light novel one. This third show is scheduled for 2021.

Well to be honest I don’t really have much hopes of seeing more Strike Witches manga since sales is okay I think, but several anime release would boost new interest in the West.

The wait for two of these three shows will be worth it I imagine. Then again the 2019 one may end up surprising us also.

Time really flies, next thing you know it’s already 10 years. This is one of the franchise that I love the most, a moe anime combined with elements from historic events like World War Two. Very rich of trivia like the ordnance they used during that era, and of course those eye candies underneath them, you know what I’m saying…

Nice Strike Witches news. I am not stoked with the idol part yet and but the rest is great. Good thing we are getting a couple of TV anime instead of films.

I’m definitely looking forward to this. Speaking of Strike Witches, I still need to watch the movie as well as the rest of Brave Witches.
From what I understand, the first upcoming anime is an adaptation of a 4koma. The one coming out in 2021 is apparently an Idol Witches series. My guess is that it will probably be Strike Witches meets Love Live. I’m not sure what to make of that.

Hell yeah!! I love this series a lot so more Strike Witches is more than welcome. Although 2020 though, geez that’s so far out! If we’re all still around then I’ll be watching this for sure.
