Wataten Anime Announced

The reason why I didn’t talk about this anime getting announced sooner was because I couldn’t find a translated plot summary. Oh well. It’s supposedly a comic that was serialized in Yuri Hime and Ichiyincha so might as well bring it to the Nation’s attention. The series in question is “Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!” or “Wataten” for short.

Update: ANN post features a short plot summary.

Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!.jpg

Plot Summary: Miyako Hoshino, a shy college student and otaku. Miyako’s younger sister Hinata, who is a fifth grader, has a classmate and friend named Hana. When they meet, Miyako falls for Hana at first sight.

From the looks of it it may be something akin to Ichigo Mashimaro. Maybe the lead lady is a lolicon, maybe not. If she is I’m guessing she won’t be a hardcore predator like Muscle Maid or Haruka from Kanamemo.

Either way I’m 100% certain that the Yuri fans who have been on a tantrum tirade will soon be switching from complaining about “Kuro” Yuri series getting anime adaptations to “lolicon” Yuri getting anime adaptations. I’m sure of it.

No premiere date yet.

People complain about kuro yuri getting animated, what can you do, Japan loves complicated yuri. Because that’s life. Life is not always happy.

I’m definitely gonna check this one out. I’ll watch HSL and Muscle Maid why not this one. And I too think this is the soft version of Muscle Maid.

      So it would seem.

Same here. This looks calmer than Muscle Maid. We’ll see how it goes.

And the whole point of anime is to be better then life.
I don’t understand people who watch anime but still want real life like stories. Real life is just a shit game why would you want that in Anime.

This comment confuses me. Anime is generally much, much worse than real life, and the fun of it (and most fiction) is watching the characters overcome their struggles and having hope that we could find courage like that in our own miserable lives.

Certainly there’s a time for SoL types of anime, when you just want to chill, but even SoL has conflict (i.e. I have to do my homework… but I want to play outside!!) Generally speaking, I think conflict makes fiction interesting and gives it relevance (hence why I prefer kuro Yuri, though I like all kinds) 🙂

@tsubasasfamily How could you possibly claim that Anime is worse than real life? The way I see it nearly all anime are way better then real life. Sure there are struggles in anime, in many anime characters are constantly fighting for their lives, but for one anime words tend to actually be worth fighting for as they also have immense beauty and greatness to them that irl exists only inside of our heads and what’s more, there are things like real love, real friendship in them, people with immensely strong feelings many more things witch irl are just fantasies. Even dystopian anime like SNK are way better then real life, in an ED song of SNK their world was described as cruel and beautiful, real life is not cruel but it is also not beautiful, it is just empty and crappy, and that’s the worse that can be.

I have no problem with there being struggles in anime, there being dangerous things or great sadness that doesen’t make it a worse world, in fact it makes it better cause that means that world has great feelings to it, people in that world are capable of having really immensely strong feelings, and if they are capable of strong negative feelings that means they are capable of great positive feelings as well. what I hate is that many kuro yuri anime are very close to emptiness of an real world. In such words things tend to fall apart for small stupid things. In more anime-like worlds lovers will often go to hell and back to be with the one they love, in real life people claim they love each other then break up for some stupidest of reasons that isn’t even a real struggle.

Real life might be easy and pretty save, but it’s also empty of any greatness, there’s noting of much worth here, just bunch of crap and tons of bullshit.

  2. Why even complaint that yuri anime adaptation are commonly on the side that you aren’t agreeing with? If anything people should be happy that we’re getting more and more yuri adaptation these days! I mean, I could understand if its something as shitty as Netsuzou Trap but hell, among all bad yuri anime out there, NTr is probably the worst of em’lot and that’s mainly because it combined heterosexual into the mix. The way I see it, as long as these self proclaimed yuri shows doesn’t put man in it, it’s all smooth sailing, and some fights between the girls here and there wouldn’t be so bad if you ask me, as long as they aren’t fighting over dudes. There’s no point in watching yuri if that happens. Might as well go and watch Kuzu no Honkai.

  4. So apparently someone said on ANN that this anime encourages pedophilia! It makes me laugh. Not only the fact that this is fiction, these sorts of people aren’t even there to hit on shows where it involves loli going after guys/guys going after loli like Kodomo no Jikan, Ryuuou no Oshigoto, Tenshi no 3P and Ryuu Kyu Bu. It’s funny really. So just because it’s yuri and involves the type of relationship that society wouldn’t acknowledge, it’s pedophilia now?

Now the wait begins for an anime about a legal loli and her love for a little girl who looks like a 20 year old!!

But either way, very excited for this news! So much onerori to look forward to! HSL, Maid, and now this!

I wasn’t saying something that was a thing. The closest we’d probably have is if there was ever a NNB afterstory where Komari is in College (or somehow ends up Hotaru’s homeroom teacher)
I can’t even think of a manga with this premise yet

I was referring to lolicon Yuri or whatever the term for the genre is. I prefer my age-gap between adults and teenagers. Like I said though I will check all the ones announced. Most of the older girls aren’t above the age of 30 so it’s fine.

I love all yuri, SOL or deep dark and forboding so I’ll watch this and probably enjoy it. The premise kinda reminds me of Ichigo Mashimaro.

The manga for this is pretty good imo. Really cute. MC is somewhat of a lolicon, her little sister is a siscon. MC’s also mostly an introvert, but she seems to get along well with her sister’s friends.
