This episode was nothing short of wonderful.
Yet again our short heroine KAOS was struggling. She showed her editor her latest work with a focus on the gourmet sub-sub genre (It’s a Girls Club subgenre, which is already a Slice of Life subgenre.) but still lacked what was needed to draw a 4 koma. The issue being she still wrote stories based on her own perception of what high school girls were like. It’s like internet reviewers in the 90’s or early 2000’s when they criticized movies aimed at teenagers and young adults because to them the teenage characters felt like they were written by what people in their fifties thought teenagers acted. Something like that.
Something I would like to add regarding KAOS was how she spoke when she demeaned herself. Her pessimistic tone is hilarious. Not her feeling bad but how she talks. We move on from the depressing to the blissful.
I don’t know if I already said this around here but KAOS is our spirit animal.
Another example of how funny KAOS’ depressed tone is.
Thankfully Tsubasa helped cheer up KAOS by reminding her that she’s just getting started. She’s plenty of time to improve her craft. Keep in mind she said this after bluntly crushing KAOS’ morale some more.
Everyone’s wish for more KAOS-Kitty was granted as she became the dorm mascot named NYAOS complete with a cat sized mangaka cap. As KAOS happily went to meet her friends to work on a manga drawing contest they agreed to participate in she witnessed something truly magical…
So yes…KAOS is a lesbian. No ifs, ands or buts.
I’m getting Strike Witches flashbacks. How wonderful.
As soon as I find some full body shots of Koyume’s fantastic figure I’ll post some.
So Koyume agreed to be the model for Ruki’s next ecchi masterpiece.
The two had an interesting back and forth about what kind of women manga readers preferred. Both had short but valid arguments for busty and slim beauties. All the while KAOS quietly “observed”.
Eventually KAOS gave her opinion on the matter and let’s just say she dropped a mini pipe bomb…before crushing her own spirit once more.
The three complimented Tsubasa on her impressive figure. Tsubasa however, had a different vision of the perfect figure.
KAOS saw how amazing Ruki and Tsubasa’s drawings were and felt like she needed to push herself harder to get ahead. She got the idea to try and better understand the sub-sub-genre she’s going for…which led to her not eating anything. When the housemother/landlady tried feeding her KAOS said she’d eat anything…only to end up not enjoying the meal prepared for her. She essentially lost the desire to eat. Luckily for KAOS the houselady called her mom for advice on what were her favorite meals. Problem solved! Unfortunately KAOS getting her groove back didn’t help improve her work very much. As Tsubasa said though she’s just getting started.
Don’t give up KAOS!
PS: Yes I am aware of the scenes where Koyume reacted to being seen in her lingerie by Tsubasa and the scene of her seeing Tsubasa undress. More Koyume being crazy for Tsubasa. It is GLORIOUS.
