Koukaku no Pandora Episode 8: Mall Fire

Nice babe

Not bad at all but Uzal is untouchable, though The Invincible One comes close.

So this week there was a Hermes festival where they advertised disaster prevention goods. Is there supposed to be some political commentary here? I honestly didn’t care much. Just found it amusing.

Janus North

Ah so this guy finally debuted. Saw him in the OP and wondered what role he’d play. For now he seems like a politician with some good intentions.

Emergency Numbers

Of course a network disturbance would pop-up right before the chairman needed to “go”.

Worse than expected

Oh dear. Looks like the damage was far worse than usual this time.

Special Nene Decoding of Clarion

Nene is skilled at more than “decoding”.

My gosh

What can never, ever be unseen.

Clarion opened the elevator

Ladies and gentlemen, the payoff.

Of course Clarion could open the elevator door the entire time.

Wow…a 7D movie theater. I and both curious and dread it because 3D theaters already hurt my head watching them.

Epic CG kart

CGI haters ranting, OG not caring.

One day the world will be saved by adorably badass lesbian cyborgs.

Nene's parents' final moments

Oh dear.

During the escape Clarion suggested the two escape the burning building as quickly as possible but each time there was someone in need of rescue Nene chose to rescue the people. Clarion being more robotic than human in her understanding of existence took a while to process Nene’s desire to put the lives of others before her own but eventually did. She is her wifey after all. Oh and the Invincible One got a temporary time in the spotlight. Good for her FINALLY getting a break. Sadly it didn’t last long.

Adorable rescuer

So cute.

As always Colonel Kurtz was up to something behind the scenes.

I really like this show because it always finds ways to entertain. The impatient can complain about our heroines not battling Colonel Kurtz yet but I’m enjoying the ride still. Patience, they will face his army soon enough.

The name Colonel Kurtz can’t be a coincidence.

So Nene’s origin story is a building fire eh? this show nudges her bravery further every episode while pulling wifey clarion to her level of understanding, it’s really great. Also that princess-carry moment at the end, i -live- for moments like that.

It’ll be interesting to see if they reveal what caused it.

It shows that Nene’s serious about her goal of world peace and Clarion will support her.
They’re meant to be for all time.

Hands down, still the best show this season ~

We finally got to see a glimpse of Nene’s reason for going full cyborg. I wonder if Uzal had something to do with it? Just a crazy thought that occurred in my mind why she seems so indebted to Nene. The other likelihood is it may have had somethign to do with Kurtis. Of course, it could have no link to anything, but I dunno. I’m leaning towards Uzzal (can’t spell her name…)

    Lots of really cute moments, and some really intense moments too ;_;

That toilet situation was just hilarious xD

It is the one I’m enjoying most as well.

It’ll be interesting to see what role Uzal will play when she returns.

All the funnier thanks to the chairman’s face.

This is the best yuri or subtext yuri show of the season. It’s funny how 2 cyborgs are out shining humans when it comes to the amount of yuri content. The human girls in the other shows have to step their game up big time, I’m looking at you Quiet Girl and you too Mashiro

I don’t really think you’re being fair to those two. Mashiro, maybe. But Chiya is doing pretty much everything she can in this situation. Nene’s a lot better off than them because she has a partner that is ready to make the plunge and returns her affections. Mashiro is likely going to get routeblocked, and Chiya is dealing with an elementary schooler. She’s got more than enough potential.

I think you’d be better calling out Misaki and Yuzuka, than the two girls who try their hardest to be the important person in their special someone’s life. Chiya seems like she’ll be more successful than Mashiro though. I really fear that she’s going to get completely left in the dust. I’d love to be proven wrong on monday though.

Though, thinking about it, “cyborgs” ARE “humans”. So why even make that comparison? I mean, it really depends on what Clarion is exactly. But a “cyborg” is just a human with robot parts. Course, then we start to delve into really philosophical topics, like “is an android a human?” or “when does one stop being ‘human’?”

It seems that Nene is becoming a heroine in the making from the past few episodes. Still, want to learn a bit more about her past since it seems interesting.

I think you have forget an unforgivable part… How dare the kid stealth away Nene first kiss! And why no-one teachs her that blow the air through victim nose, not victim mouth! Damn…
(nevermind me, and sorry for dirty your blog)

    • cirno9fan says:

That’s not a “kiss” in the slightest. And it’s advised to do mouth to mouth, unless the mouth is injured/obstructed. Anyone who considers CPR a kiss are either really desperate, or really childish. It’s saving someone’s life. Which is what world-peace loving Nene was doing.

    • OG-Man says:

Complaining about that, especially when she was doing it to save a child’s life, is petty.

    • Star Light says:

Nope, what I mean is they do CPR in the wrong way. Seriously, almost every movies I’ve seen does it in the wrong way. With that way, it easy to make people misunderstanding. Somehow, it like a joke of studio.
I’m not wrong, the rescue breath should be on the nose and close the mouth to let the air go through the heart. If we blow to the mouth, the air will all goes to stomach. (That what I’ve learnt)

  9. K says:

Mr. North seems like a swell dude but there’s some shadiness about him(nothing too malicious, though). He is a politician, after all.

Nene had to save that kid, seeing as he was in the same situation she was in. I wonder what caused that fire? One thing’s for sure; Takumi telling those two to not look for trouble is kinda pointless since trouble always finds them.

Our Invincible Reporter became an unwitting hero…before being arrested for crushing Mr.North’s car, somehow. How unlucky of her!

i just learned from watching this episode that, when two girls touch each other… it’s call “decoding” XD
