At the end of the KanColle anime it was revealed that there would be a continuation. Now fans know exactly what kind. KanColle the animated movie was announced for 2016. Stay tuned for a sneak peek at the trailer when it is made available to the world.
According to the ANN source, the tweet announcing the news stated that the movie and sequel are separate projects hinting that a second season may be on its way sometime later that year or the next.

The Yuri Empire 
I enjoyed Kancolle, even though it had it’s issues. Thought we’d see a S2, but a movie might be better.

We all know it’s far from perfect but most of us loved it so we welcome this film before the second season.

Going for both the movie and TV series sequel seems like a huge bet, but I hope the budget will be nicely allocated for both.
1st anime did have some drawbacks story-wise, but I like it whenever Kongou and Poi appears, so I look forward to hearing more of them.

TECHNICALLY some already have but yeah more on-screen yuri confessions in the continuations would be nice.
