246th G-View: HELLO!! Kiniro Mosaic

This will be a short and sweet review of the second season of the Girls Club extravaganza known as Kiniro Mosaic, HELLO!! Kiniro Mosaic.

Here’s the review of the 1st season:Kiniro Mosaic

hello-kiniro-mosaic

Genres: Slice of Life, Comedy, Yuri.

Number of episodes: 12

G-Rating: 11/10

Plot Summary: More of the same.

I was serious when I said this review would be short because there is very little to add that I haven’t already in the first season review. HELLO!! Kiniro Mosaic is literally more of the same but with the awesomeness, cuteness and “soft yuri” ramped up to over 9000. The animation quality is improved but it still feels the same, the season’s OP and ED being better or not than the first one’s is debatable but the soundtrack quality is also the same and good, the fun times and supreme cuteness are still glorious, the Engrish is still some of Japan’s best and the characters are all as likable as they were last time but again their likability is ramped up to the max…along with their love for one another. The only new things I can add are the two “newcomers” who were briefly shown last time but further fleshed out this season.

Honoka blessed

First up is Honoka. She fills the role of Karen’s soul mate. She doesn’t become a prominent character until the second half of the show. When she does though she makes a statement.

Drooling teacher

Next we have Kuzehashi-sensei, aka Cookie Tiger-sensei. Long story short she’s a serious teacher who quickly lightens up and starts filling the role of Karasuma-sensei’s girlfriend but not before having a “hard” time trying to understand Karen and her lovable antics.

Alice's dream

Aya scolding YokoThe yuri can be best described as old loves strengthening and new ones blossoming. It is all wonderfully adorable.

Overall HELLO!! Kiniro Mosaic delivering everything fans loved about the first season and ramped it up by over 9000. Not much else to it than that. Recommended to Girls Club enthusiasts, SoL fans, yuri fans and laid back/open minded anime viewers.

Nothing else to add. It was great. And indeed, the yuri was strong with this one.
Sad to see it finished, no more waiting on Sundays for new glorious episode.
But I guess now we can wait for 3rd season, since I think it’s pretty obvious there will be one – they have their 3rd year to cover after all. Bah! Even more, since they only covered 1st semester of their 2nd year. Who knows, maybe next year it’ll be back? Keepin’ my fingers crossed and I know what I’ll rewatch this summer.

All good things must come to an end. Hopefully one of my top Summer picks will air on Sundays.
There’s still plenty of material to make a third season. It’s only a matter of time.

Anime of the Season, hands down. You said it all. They just basically took everything that made the first season so amazing, amped it up by like 10000x, and then threw in even more amazing just for good measure.

I will greatly miss this show. Definitely getting this once Sentai releases it on BD. Just like I did the first season. Will probably watch it many times afterwards as well~

I’m sad that I nearly let this get pass me and even more sadder that the season is over. This would be the second anime I’m watching this season to end (after Show by Rock) and with most other anime I’m watching having only one episode left, I have a feeling I’m only going to get sadder until a new anime series stats up. I’m both hoping and fearing a third season as it likely go the remainder of their second year and possibly the entirety of their third, leaving very little possible story for a fourth season (unless they try to pull a college spin off, but even that has it’s limits as the K-on! manga has demonstrated). Regardless of what happens, I will support this series and enjoy every minute of it.

Better late than never that you caught up with the show and finished it. A third season would be the best place to end the show I’d say.

Aww, it’s already finished. 😦 Thank the yuri god that Non Non Biyori is coming.
The yuri in this season is off the charts compared to the first season. Especially Ayaya and Yoko. Honoka and Kusshi-sensei are great additions to the already great casts. If all goes well, I am expecting a third season. But I hope that it’ll not take too long for the third season. Rating: 10

Ah I can’t believe it’s over already! They pretty much took all the best points of S1, added a few new things and the results totally blew away my already high expectations. I’ll truly miss this one a lot, but with Non Non Biyori S2 coming up in a few weeks and Gochiusa S2 in the future at some point, there will still be a cute girls doing cute things anime to keep each season enjoyable.

Now if only Sakura Trick got another season, we’d be set…

One of the highlights of this season for me. I’m so glad I decided to watch Kiniro Mosaic, but now we play the waiting game. If Yuru Yuri can get a third season, there may be hope for us yet.

Even though it was the last episode, the show’s sheer happiness overpowered sadness as I finished watching.
HELLO!! Kiniro Mosaic has never failed to make me feel relaxed as season1! All we have to do is wait for the 3rd season (Konnichiwa KM, maybe?)

I should also thank greatly for your reviews being always entertaining, and for being able to talk about this work-of-art SoL anime in the comment section with you, OG-man!

Yes this is another GREAT season indeed. I love it! Am still impressed with Shino’s awesome fashion sense, including that wonderful outfit she put on to greet Alice when she returned from England. Will definitely continue to root for the 4 yuri couples in season 3!

I have no words to describe how much i love this show. It was the first show that i discovered through your blog, and the one to show me that subtext yuri can be nice too! (I know its not exactly subtext, but it isnt exactly explicit too)

But this season was more than what i initially expecting. I just hope more of the same, not being this much greater! Granted, the first season is perfect, but this one is somehow better! Maybe i’m saying this because i just watched it, but this is the feeling i got watching it.

The thing i probably liked most on this season is the fact they gave Karen and Karasuma-sensei their own pair. Really, the addition of Honoka is such a major thing for me, because i didnt wanted her to be the straight girl of the group. And Honoka herself is such a great character, i’m just overall very pleased with her. And Kusshi-chan, she’s just awesome, and the surprise of the season.

As it stands now, a third season is more than likely to happen, so here’s a fan wish to make it happen as soon as possible!

What can I say? It really was the same as last season but doubled. The cast’s still as funny and endearing as I remember and Honoka and Ms.Kuzehashi were neat additions. Nothing beats that impromptu musical from last season, though.

Well, it’s time to move from the Golden land to the countryside. A third can come when it wants to.

Akari was an ADORABLE addition to the Kiniro Mosaic cast. I actually find her to be even more cute than Sakura, if that’s even possible.
