Mortal Kombat X Announced for 2015

Been a while since I talked about a new games because most of the games I care about I already covered at some point but here’s a new one that immediately got my attention.

WARNING! Trailer contains NSFW content and not the sexual kind.

Ed Boon’s up to his old tricks on his Twitter account hyping a new game from Netherrealm studios. Many fans speculated it would either be Injustice 2 or Mortal Kombat 10.

It was the latter entitled Mortal Kombat X

From the trailer showing off the series’ poster boys in action we see that X-Ray attacks will be returning and that the level of violence is as high as ever. Trailers are not very reliable when it comes to judging a game'[s graphics but based on this one MKX looks next-gen worthy.

According to an Amazon UK post that is subject to change in the future, MKX is stated for a PS3, PS4, XBOX 360 and XBOX One release sometime in 2015.

  1. Hanneman says:

FUCK YEAH! Netherrealm Studios are quickly becoming one of the best fighting games studio. The Hype is real!

Meanwhile, we get the fourth edition of Street Fighter 4, which is basically the same game.

    • Overlord-G says:

I like fighting games in general and I’m ready to download USF4 tomorrow.

      • Hanneman says:

Street Fighter is not my area, since hardcore fighting games arent the kind of game i like to play. But i’ve been playing it since the SF2 version of the Snes, and even got the Arcade Edition on my old Xbox.

But, respecting the franchise as much as i do, i cannot agree on them selling a dlc for the price of a full game 4 times in a row.

  2. Justin says:

So should we be expecting them to make Mortal Kombat Y and…oh wait, I’m getting my franchises mixed up somehow.

  3. Kai says:

More brutal, grotesque, limbs-tearing fatalities. Joy.
