Getting Ready for the Fifth Age of Yuri

I am certain most of the Yuri Nation are aware of these upcoming releases next year in what will hopefully be the Fifth Age of Yuri. Still, let’s look at them one more time to make our mouths drool and sizzle with anticipation, shall we?

Welcome Yuri Lovers

Anime mentioned:

Sakura Trick: Oh my goodness. This announcement is news to me “Sarcastic voice while smiling”.

Saki 2: Will my 5 years of waiting finally come to an end, or will the Fate of the Universe be decided in a 3rd season? Achiga-hen was technically a midquel.

Akuma no Riddle: This show will hopefully satiate the action yuri seekers out there.

Yuru Yuri 3: I have mentioned a post a while back discussing a Tweet about a possible third season. Let’s hope it will come true, probably in the Summer I predict.

Strike Witches 3: I haven’t made a post about this one but for the fans who have seen after the end credits of the movie, they already know about this news.

Yama no Susume 2: I haven’t reviewed YnS but take my word for it, the subtext is delicious in this one. Cute girls teaching viewers about mountain climbing. I am so happy to hear we’ll be getting a second season. We’ll have to wait till Spring for this one.

Mouretsu Pirates: The Movie. If the Blu-Ray does not come out by Summer, I will be most upset and grow impatient. The movie to the greatest anime of the decade (in my opinion) by far. I do hope it’ll live up to my expectations.

Nanoha The Movie 3rd: Reflection. I heard this will be an original sequel and not a retelling of StrikerS. Maybe NanoFate will FINALLY tie the knot. One can hope.

Madoka Movie 4 (?): This one, I have a feeling could happen…but by next year…I doubt that.

DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT WAS IT!? Ah my loyal subjects, these were but a sample. Here are some more potential ones.

Symphogear 3: This one isn’t in the video but the vid was made before the announcement methinks. Anyway, S3 is also one to look forward to.

Magical Suite Prism Nana: Not much has been mentioned about this one recently. While I have lost a lot of my previous admiration for SHAFT, I still have enough confidence that they will give the Nation something to work with in this one.

Love Live 2: Hopefully NicoMaki and all the other pairings will bless us greatly this season.

Kill La Kill, Samurai Flamenco and Log Horizon. KLK’s not yurirific but surely the Ryuko X Mako, Ryuko X Satsuki material floating around the web are proof enough that it’s worth the nation’s time by now. SF has a lesbian sidekick/fangirl (I think she’s gay). Log Horizon has some megane babe who is infatuated with a shortie. I don’t know how serious we should take that. If it’s as serious as Walkure Romanze’s Akane, then maybe I’ll consider checking it out. If LH is already over, never mind.

Gochuumon wa Usagi desu kaGochuumon wa Usagi desu ka?

Could this be the next Kiniro Mosaic?

Hana YamataHana Yamata

This one looks like it has potential. According to Baka-Manga Updates, it has yuri in it.

Kantai Collection

Looks like another Strike Witches show and everyone knows what that means…

There you have it folks. Hopefully even more shows will be coming our way to bless the Yuri Nation with more greatness in 2014.

PS: The editing done in the anime version compared to the original episode 00: FFFFFFFFFFFF-UUUUUUUUUUU-WRITERS!

And just as I write that long essay on your G-View of Non Non Biyori…
Well, maybe I’ll just leave that there, cause right now, I full with HYPE!!!!

The shows that you mentioned here will certainly be on my watch list (except a few). Like I said before, I’m burning with excitement and expectation here!
    P/s: Perhaps I should prepare more blood-pack…

  5. Yurimylove says:

there’s this really funny cruise director, Richard Spacey, his simple advice for happiness in life: “have something to do, have someone to love, and have something to look forward to”. Well the coming winter season certainly got the last part covered 🙂

  6. Cheshire Cat says:

I hope Kantai doesn’t have “Harem” or anything like male progtanist.
