I’m too lazy to post a lot of pics right now so follow the link and find out which crossovers were mentioned and how they ranked according to 1000+ animeniacs.
This post is meant to talk about some of the crossovers that were mentioned.
-Saki X Akagi. Really? Pairing up a group of “professional mahjong wrestling lesbians with superpowers” with a serious mahjong series? I don’t see it. Just because both series are about mahjong doesn’t mean they would click.
-Yuru Yuri X Yuyushiki X Kiniro Mosaic X Kill Me Baby. A crossover featuring several shows about cute ambiguously gay girls doing cute things. I fully support this idea. However, my beef is with Kill Me Baby. Out of the four shows mentioned here, KmB is not only the weakest, but also the least yurirific of the bunch. KmB is about as yuri subtext filled as Binbougami ga…and some people actually deciphered Tittyko and Momiji as being a bickering couple. Point is, remove KmB from the equation.
-A Certain Scientific Railgun X Saint Young Men X Gatchaman CROWDS. I haven’t seen the Saint Young Men movie but a meeting of the minds between Hajime and Mikoto would be one of the most interesting conversations in anime history.
-Haganai X Watamote: Mojyo’s appeal is that her journey to find purpose in life should be one to be taken alone. Also, Haganai contradicts itself. Having Mojyo pay those mooks a visit would be more out of place than interesting.
-Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha X Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Is there a doujin out there depicting MadoHomu attending a romance counseling session being hosted by NanoFate? If there isn’t, there should be. MadoHomu need to learn from the best, after all.
-Love Live! X Idolm@ster X Aikatsu!
Note to self: Marathon both The Idolm@ster and Aikatsu.
-GA Geijutsuka Art Design Class X Hidamari Sketch: This is my #1 pick. Madoka can have all the fans it wants (Myself included), but as far as I’m concerned, SHAFT’s BEST PUBLISHED WORK TO DATE is…Hidamari Sketch. Madoka revolutionized Dark Mahou Shoujo anime but HS revolutionized life itself. Any crossover involving this series DESERVES EVERYONE’S UNDIVIDED ATTENTION! HS is a gift from the anime gods and should be cherished even after my passing, 90 years from now.
Note to self: This Fall, a top priority of mine should be to marathon and review “Art Class”
