I did mention in the comments that I’d be making an update on which shows I’ll be watching and preparing reviews for so here are some new additions. In case there are 5 of you out there who want to know what my previous picks were, I’ll save you the trouble and just post the titles here:
Ika Musume 2, Tamayura 2, Working 2, C3, Fate/Zero and Persona 4.
Here are the new additions:
This will be my #1 over 13 anime for the season. Its weird beginning and goofy cast of characters are exactly what I’ve been looking for in an action anime. I don’t need anything hardcore. Sure the fanservice used here is the ridiculous type (seriously why are men turned on by gravity defying breasts bigger than the girl’s cranium?) but regardless the characters look quirky enough to keep me watching…especially…
The gravity defying breasts and inevitable molestation jokes will be a factor we (the members of the nation) will have to endure for the sake of true love. Still, I know that many of us have endured a LOT of painful tribulations to see representatives of our ever growing nation succeed in finding peace and tranquility. Let us do our best to endure…as long as the writers have enough common sense to deliver more seraphic lesbian witch couple goodness.
Maji de watashi no koi shinasai!: I’ll say it. I wasn’t impressed by the 1st episode but it is an ECCHIMANIA show as expected so I’ll keep an eye on it anyway. ya know, hot chicks kickng ass is always good, as long as it isn’t from Hollywood. (Annoying cocky women with unnecessary slow motion and retarded one liners. Just kick ass and move on with your lives. Why do you think noone took Kira Nightley seriously in ANY of the Pirate movies she was in. No wonder she was cut from Pirates 4. Also the female protagonist from the 3 Musketeers movie trailer pisses me off.)
Kimi to Boku: This is a challenge from the Slice of Life Grandmasters. I have seen many Girls Club shows in my life so far and the time has come to watch the exact opposite: A Boy’s Club SoL show. If I am to prove to the bloggosphere that I am worthy of being referred to as a SoL master, I must accept the challenge and watch this show putting my honor on the line. Besides, the 1st episode was pretty good.
Chihayafuru: Okay, I miscalculated. There are actually 2 anime beyond 13 episodes I’ll pay very close attention to. This is the 2nd one. Oh and Beauty in Vain? SCREW YOU! I nominate for sexiest and coolest anime babe of 2011 (One of them anyway). Seriously, nobody whines about Cameron Diaz being a weirdo. I could be here all day complaining about this one nickname so let’s move on. This show will be my snack until the main course EVENTUALLY premieres. I think most of my peeps know which show I’ve been waiting years for is.
Maken-Ki: Ikkitousen clone with more gravity defying breasts. Whatever, another ECCHIMANIA show. To be honest, of all 3 ECCHIMANIA potential shows (Horizon, Maji and this one) this was the least impressive. I’ll put this one on life support.
Two strikes. One more and I’m dropping this one and replacing it with…
Mirai Nikki: Hoo boy, this is going to be messy. I’m suddenly having flashbacks of Higurashi and Elfen Lied, mixed with a dash of School Days and a pinch of Highlander. a most disturbingly satisfying mixture I must say.
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sakunai: It’s a Shaft clone and the animation reminds me of Denpa Onna. I’m interested. However, I already made it clear to my our energetic broski feal87 that I want to see two things from this show: Yozora and Sena brawling at the expense of Konoka and Konoka suffering as much as humanly possible. I heard this show will be a harem, which detracts some of its entertainment value but because the animation style is so Shaft, I’m willing to give it a chance being a devoted fan and all.
